Trader Joe's Fontana Distribution Warehouse reviews
18This place completely has no common sense about how to organize the semi traffic. It's very narrow space to back up to the dock, so to make it harder they create the check in gate from the side of the warehouse which make you back up from the blind right side. Just whole traffic should enter the other side, check in go around the warehouse and approach the dock from the easier side. But someone seems like wants to make it harder and more dangerous for a truck drivers. But to be completely fair, the People who work here are nice and an unloading time is not bad.
They will take you early then ur apt time. But it's very tight. Not recommended for new drivers. You will see wall full of trailer scratches. But unloading is quick
Worst place to deliver. Not enough place to backup. By appt only. Yard manager doesn't desrve and doesn't know how to manage the yard. Worst place to deliver.
This place isn’t that bad.i had a 1300 appointment, arrived 1 hour early and was given a dock immediately.honestly, you really just need to pick a dock between 2-12 back into it before checking in.then let them know which door.it’s somewhat tight in here, but the blindside isn’t that difficult—ive had much worse.the scrapes and markings on the wall are probably from Swift/Central/Knight drivers
No overnight. Don’t come early 2 hours. No parking space. No space for maneuvers. Backup from the right blind spot. Loading time 4 hours. Entrance in the end of the street to the right.
Precariously tight turnaround if you can't Blind Side back into a dock, employees friendly enough, but be prepared to spend at least 2 hours here regardless of your appointment on time.
I work here and I tell you this place is ghetto af. Not the location of the neighborhood but the people working here makes it ghetto. Bunch of ex-convicts, wannabe gangsters and illegal Mexicans work here. Also, for a food warehouse this facility is filthy to the bones. USDA, FDA, or whatever regulation implementing food safety dig deep on this place and you will see the huge rats crawling in there. No lie.
My appt was 4pm i was there 4: 20 pm they take my load without any issues.out within 1 hour.better then other like walmart colton kroger.thanks
Not bad, really fast unloading. Like others have stated entrance is at the end of the street to the right at the guard shack. If you are "lucky" you will have to blindside in to your spot. Don't wait for a door assignment. For reefer it is doors 2-12. No lumper fee. Overall not bad the -1 star is for the worst idea from some bean head who thought about making trucks blindside in. If they make the exit the entrance, It would be so fast
Had a delivery appointment at 6pm and I was 6 minutes late and they wouldn’t take me. Desk guy said they left home already. Why would they leave when there’s an appointment for 6pm. I could understand if I’m half and hour or an hour late but 6 minutes! Really! What a joke this place is. Smh
Damm Trader Joe’s was fast these time! Maybe because it was after 5 pm. Last time around two years ago they took 4 hours. Yesterday only 30 Minutes. Preety Cool, I delivered 12 pallets of Goat milk. Fast!
So explain to me why I was delivering parked on the side people was not moving there truck when I got there they told me to go inside to check in that’s what I did.when I was inside checking in to get a door and started walking out and some idiot with the golf cart Tell me why am I hell did he jump in my truck and move my truck forward without my permission he doesn’t have a class a license and he doesn’t have no right to jump in my truck and move it whatsoever. And this is a Trader Joe’s Employee. Dude your very lucky I wasn’t some guy who would of flip on you. Because the truck driver I seen would grab you out there truck. For one your not a truck driver so you don’t ever truck somebody truck Better a fact you’re not even post to get in the truck and started up or move it forward if you want to hit something I would’ve been responsible for it. Next time if he do that I will be reporting him. You have some nerve.
Yard Guys are Lazy. Specially this guy named Bob. This guy s the laziest prson I've seen. Maybe you should start doing your job btter bud and stop putting other drivers do your job!
Unloading time was okay but backing up is a challenge. I think whoever in charger of the warehouse is not smart. They need to change the entrance to exit and exit to entrance and I think all the truck driver will be really happy and save some time and stress. Overall it’s OK
Place has come a long way since a couple years ago when it was a one star still heard a new warehouse in redlands is in the works could be a five star soon
Such a great place to shop for grocery, but sometimes it’s organized not that well, as could be.
Worst week job, I've had in my entire life.communication is off. Safety is not ever applied.you have complete chaos with forklift drivers. Please if you ever consider working here look in every direction when walking through the warehouse.
Managers in the cheese department gossip just as much as the workers. The place has mostly Hispanic people so they like to single out the other races. They also have a rat infestation and never clean their equipment unless they know they are being inspected a week or two prior to the event. They relabel expired CHEESE products, so they can be shipped out to the stores. Customers are always getting sick. The list goes on and on. It's a vile place.
