17 Have to wait forever for them to reset crane if nobody answers when pushing the button at the booth you have to call trapac yourself and hope somebody gets a hold to you and the workers on the yard just drive past all day you can try your best to flag them down.
Good Luck!
This place is HELL! On earth. Lines are long and the incompetent security staff wont get their faces off their phones (Facebook) (YouTube) and direct traffic in a efficient manner. Instead they sit in their crash&trashed pickup trucks typing away on their phones. Whem semi trucks have to converge from 2 lanes onto 17 pedestal lanes. And who knows who's going where? Fabulous technology and equipment been demolished by angry ungratefull employees that this places was built with their taxpayer money.
Loading and unloading is fully automated but staging area gets messed up when there's more trucks to be serviced.
Security staff need to get eyes off of social media if they want to prevent the workers from having accidents!
This is the worst place in all of the port systems, the automation is super slow and makes no sense. LBCT is where you want to be.
This port is trashpack is the worst por ever! Because the people who is operating the port! How much money make the manager!? Because i can do the same job for less money! Totally bad, poor operations system!
By far the worst terminal. "TRASHPAC! " You can literally be the only only in a block and it'll still take hours!
Poorly run operation. Long lines that don't move and horrific customer service. Good luck getting help from any employees
"Good morning I always to the berth 136 when there"s a Ship is there. I am "David Ybarra St.
This is just your average Port. They are switching to all automation at this time and that does create some problems now and then. The wait times can be long at times.
I WORK THERE AT TRAPAC BERTH 136 FILM NGTON, CALIFORNIA. I' M A "LONGSHOREMAN" FOR ILWU #13
Wait time gets out of hand occasionally but when things are clear which in my experience is seldom it doesn't get any better.
Worst terminal, very disorganized. Automation has 2 lanes only.why should we have to wait hrs (3-6) just to get a load out. They switched to appointments to minimize congestion, its worst. And by the way, you never see any yard managers or supervisors out in the yard, helping out like other ports do. Just some lazy security guards.most of the time they're half asleep. Time for truckers to boycott trapac terminal.
The pedestal you talk into is very hard to understand outdated equipment. The person who is supposed to help you when you any problems is extremely rude. Has no knowledge of the yard so in my opinion she is completely incompetent at her job.
Trapac doesnt work when it becomes time for new automation they cant handle it.machines always breaking down when its packed they should get it together already like PIER E has it. Plus im a night driver this terminal sucks at night. Every time i come here its the same thing 4/5 hour wait just to take a load off SMH. GET IT TOGETHER ALREADT
They are getting things done safely, promptly, effectively, efficiently, intelligently.
I like coming to TRAPAC bcs the clerk's are professionals and they sure tell you how things are done with SAFETY in mind.
Yet, realistically we, truckers and TRAPAC must work together to get the job done.
Very bad experience on Friday and today with the lady at the trouble window very rude and unprofessional
