Trattoria da Vittorio reviews
21Fresh pasta, I mean fresh and tender and yummy. Pappardelle w ox tail sauce, meatballs. Gnocchi.nice service, lovely location
Spaghetti and meatballs was delicious; light and filling at the same time.
Sat outside during a busy lunch hour and staff was attentive and helpful. Will def go back.
So good food. The pizza, the pasta, the lasagna all so very delicious. The outdoor seating is very nice and pleasant on a good day.
Really delicious as always. Nice outdoor space but inside is available with proof of vaccine. Friendly staff, great wine selection.
Superb all around- can I give more than 5 stars? Planned a 75th bday party for my mother in law. I don't live in CA, found Vittorio online. Excellent response time, both via email and phone, helped me plan the menu and logistics. The day of the event, Salvador arrived early, extremely professional and polite. And. The food. OMG. Authentic, fresh, so tasty. The kids were happy! The vegetarians were happy! The carnivores were happy! Many thanks to Vittorio and his team for making my event a huge success.
Good food, we seated outside we really enjoy it. Services is friendly.
Our first time back afther Covid!
NO RESERVATION was a nice surprise!
For a very busy Friday night the service was awesome! I am a soup person, and the butter squash cheese soup was amazing! The dinner we chose was seafood pasta and the pasta was done in house, (lovely), seafood perfectly cooked (I am picky about seafood) and the dessert delicious! I am coming back every time I get the chance!
Mamma Mia! Such a great Italian spot in the West Portal. They have a large outdoor Parklet and lots of space inside. Service was friendly although a little slow. Great wine selection. But the standout was the food. The lasagna is *chef’s kiss*. You can taste the love in the owner’s mother’s recipe. The gnocchi and ravioli were also delicious. There was distinct truffle in the ravioli, and the gnocchi was decadent. Will definitely be coming back when we’re craving Italian.
Pasta was bad. Pricey too. Recently came with my girlfriend, who had the Gnocci and I had the Fiocchetti. The Gnocci was chalky, and the sauce really wasn't anything too special. The Fiocchetti with the Gorgonzola sauce was weird. They put pears in the Fiocchetti, and it just did not work well together at all, but the Gorgonzola sauce was much better. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but we managed to finish it. +1 star for the good service though.
Lasagne was very good. Could have been a bit hotter when served, but the layering was amazing and the sauce great. The chicken breast breaded and fried was nicely pounded and cooked perfectly. The Rigatoni was so, so.there are better choices. The Calamari was lightly breaded and I loved the artichokes mixed in.
This is one of those little spots that makes you look at real estate ads in the area. The key would be to find a place that's walkable and yet somewhat far enough so that you could burn off at least some of the calories you would put on at dinner. Recently my wife and I stopped by and shared a ceasar, the squash blossoms, the eggplant parm and the porcini mushroom ravioli with black truffle cream sauce. So very good. Can't wait to go back.
This restaurant is hard to categorize.it’s definitely not authentic Italian food, and it’s not Italian American food either.
I had the gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce. The gnocchi were caulky, not blended well with chunks inside. If they tasted good that wouldn’t have been a problem, but the sauce was bland and the gnocchi had no flavor… barely palatable. The chewy store bought gnocchi are way tastier than these. (Side note; Go to MezzaLuna in half moon bay for the most delicious gnocchi al Gorgonzola. And all around delicious Italian food).
My husband got a pizza, and it was fine. My daughter had rigatoni with red sauce and meatballs. She liked the meatballs, I didn’t try them. The pasta tasted like tomato paste.
We have been here in the past and it was better. In 2017 I had a nice dinner here. And they were very family friendly when we took our daughter in 2018. It was good enough a few years ago to return, even if never truly authentic Italian cuisine. I don’t mind Italian American food done well, but this is done poorly!
The ambiance for lunch wasn’t great either. It was dark with loud pop music playing. The staff were kind. This restaurant needs a menu, recipe and ingredient makeover!
I miss All Seasons restaurant that used to be at this location. It was really a special and delicious restaurant.
Omg the worst Italian food ever! This is NOT I repeat NOT Italian food. Spaghetti vongole like over cooked baby food. No garlic, no parsley, no nothing. Shame on these people. Just look up a recipe if you need to. Caesar salad, horrid not Caesar dressing. Pizza dough like wonder bread tasteless margarita. What a huge waste of money.
Marvelous menu with outstanding service staff. Highly recommend their wine bottle & corkage offering. The outdoor patio is very welcoming. Top marks all around!
This was my 2nd time coming here. I ordered the Veal scaloppini. It was very terrible. I don't know what I was eating. It was sweet and not much flavor. I don't think I will be returning again.
Great neighborhood spot, with delicious Italian food. Good weekend brunches as well. We love this place and eat there often. We've also used them for catering.
Veal scallopini was terrible, seasoning non existent, tasted sweet. Zucchini flower deep fried came out soggy and served with marinara sauce…mehhh. Friend ordered petrale sole—not particularly fresh tasting. We used to go frequently but no more. Service & staff were very good but we came for food which was ultra disappointing! I generally never bother to comment but this was not a great meal and hopefully chef will see these comments and make some major corrections. I like to support neighborhood businesses.
Food was good, as usual, with a few small letdowns. The tomato bruschetta was soggy rather than crunchy, the zucchini was fridge-cold, the eggplant parmigiana was smaller and a bit burnt on the edges, and they didn't offer the usual bread and oil to nimble on.
Otherwise, very nice and fast service. I loved my much needed carbonara fix.
We had the pizza with artichoke hearts, olives and ham. It was delicious. The caprese salad was tasty but small for the price. All in all a great meal.
Service is outstanding. Truffle Ravioli is one of the best. Food is excellent and served very fast. I was there on Sunday afternoon so very few customers. Strongly recommend this very safe, clean restaurant.
