Let me begin by saying there was a 2 hour wait to enter this museum. There are 2 lines, one for pre-purchased tickets and one for onsite purchases. We waited in the pre-purchased line for nearly 45 minutes before an employee told us the difference. We were then directed to a website (I forget the name) to purchase tickets. When we were near the door a different employee told us that we purchased through the wrong website. After explaining that an employee told us what to do, we were given the all the clear.

My wife and i took our daughter and she had a blast. It is free admission and you can learn a lot. The only catch is if your child wants to play on the train set you can purchase a little toy train for 15 dollars in the gift shop. I cant complain though because admission is free and we had a great time! There is even a train ride the kids can go on. Super fun time over all!

Fun place to walk around and have the kids climb around and look. The Gift Shop is fun for the kids too.

I always love coming here with my kids! Every time we are in town we always visit and take pictures. Doesn’t matter how young or old you are.seeing these big locomotives always makes you smile. People here are very kind as well and informative. I recommended visiting this place.

My 9 year old nephew loves this place. He can play with the trains, which he enjoys, and they have a small trian you can ride around the park.

My 2 year old is really into trains, so this was a great place to take him. There were multiple decommissioned steam trains on tracks and also some sample train cars. He got to connect all of trains that he has seen in books, videos, and toys to the real things.

Travel Town has the largest collection of vintage steam locomotives in Southern California. Unfortunately.none of those engines are operational. Also on site are vintage rolling stock and automobiles of the past. Admission is free. This is a popular location for children's birthday parties. A gift shop is also on site.

Perfect outing for a toddler who loves trains. We did the ride and then walked around looking at all of the trains. I wish we could have gone down the street to see the steamer trains but that we were told was only open on the weekends. This was cheaper than the zoo and we didn’t feel bad when we had to leave after an hour.

Great free train and transportation museum inside Griffith Park. You can walk on some of the trains, rent them for events. You can stroll through and see lots of old trains, wagons, vehicles and it's very Interactive

Very good spot if you are travelling with young kids. They have a large collection of old trains, you can approach them and even get inside. The place also features a few interesting exhibits. There are a few tables inside to you can picnic there. The only inconvenience is that it's close to the highway to it's always a bit noisy

Absolutely gorgeous and astounding! If your child loves watching train videos on YouTube, then he or she will idolize this place! There's also an engineering area within the museum to showcase a large set of mechanical trains. Prices for the train rides around the museum was $2.75 a person, free for kids under 18 months, $2.25 for elders and all within a group above 20 count.

It is fun free parking and entrance, and donations are acceptable. Great for children as well as a place to take a date.

My children love this place. They love looking at the historic trains and the I door museum. The staff is always friendly. The small train ride it's very nice because it gives you two rides around the park. Also entry to the museum is free so please enjoy it and what Griffth Park has to offer.

Parking and enterance are free. There are paths or areas to move your strollers, but your little ones will run all over the train tracks and you will have a hard time getting to them. Best not to bring your strollers.

Great place to bring your little ones for an hour or 2. They have a mini train ride that makes 2 laps around the museum grounds. Train ride tickets are $2.75 and 18 months and younger ride free.

It's free! Except the mini train ride which is two long laps for 2.75 which seems a good value. Keep a close eye on active kids cuz you can walk right up to the trains (can only go into some) and there are rail tracks to trip over.

Charming place to see a variety of trains that no longer are put to work. Bring a picnic. Also a great place for birthday parties for train enthusiasts. Parking can be challenging as it tends to fill up. Wear running shoes or comfortable shoes to walk around.

Small spot filled with big trains. Trains are impressive but it would be better if you could go inside them. Play area is very sad. Not worth the trip if this is your reason for going.

Nice park for little ones, enjoyed looking at the trains and photos and interesting facts. The mini train ride was nice because you did two trips around the park and it was only $2 to ride.
