Travel Town Railroad reviews
18Fun historical railroad outdoor museum. At Griffith Park with a large collection of actual trains. Mini train ride offered there. Lots of fun.
Great place to visit with your family or anyone else, the entrance is free the only thing you need to pay for is the little train ride which is realy inexpensive I paid 12 bucks three people including my toddler who was free.
My son loves trains. Lots to see and do and play with. Riding the small train around the park is fun and the staff is friendly. However the line is way too long of a wait especially on busy days. Not sure they can do anything about it.
Parking is easy. Great spot for the kids.
Great place for kids and grown ups to see these steel locomotives that were once the way to travel. Train rides, gift shop, and party packages available.
Think of it as park space that happens to have trains and a gift shop.
No entry fee at the time of my visit but donations are accepted. I recommend leaving a small donation per person to help with maintenance and upkeep.
While there were a few signs with information here and there not everything had a detailed explanation. Some signs suggested there are sometimes special presentations for kids but there weren't any on the day that I visited, unable to comment on that. The trains are not totally restored so visit with the appropriate expectations: You can get up close and sense the scale of these machines but not see what they were like in their prime.
Pleasant ambience, clean and maintained space, friendly staff. Busy but not crowded. Family friendly, lots of families present. Decent parking space that filled up by noon on a weekend.
I love travel town, as there’s always new restorations and fun learning and climbing adventures.
Awesome place for a picnic, train rides, and relaxation
Travel Town is a great place to take the little ones and enjoy the day. There are many old steam engine trains and there is also a small train ride that goes around the park. There are many other attractions in the Griffith park area.
Sweet spot. Engineer Roy was so sweet. The little train was amazing. Wish we could of gone inside the trains. They were really pretty.
"Some things will never chage". This are the thing in life that should never change. Different occasions in different stages of our children's lives and yet it is still a magical place for family and friends as yester years.
This 16-inch gauge custom-built model railroad is a treat for youngsters and interested others too. The ride runs twice around the Travel Town Museum grounds at Griffith Park to showcase the variety of rare locomotives on display and invites a closer inspection.
Travel Town Railroad was the highlight of the day for my son. There are trains of many different varieties, that you can see, and even explore some too. This free to enter destination has a lot to offer for those interested in trains, or even just looking to get out and do something as a family.
Great place for family to spend some time. Admission is currently free!
They have several tables and even a railroad car available for parties
Classic train museum located in Griffith park. If you haven't came here, you are missing out. It's FREE. They even got a cute little train ride that goes around the whole park. You can also host a birthday party here. Cool little spot to take your little one and get some steps in.
One thing I would like to add, this place can use a good ol pressure wash session. Alot of dirt and spiders on the trains. Could use some cleaning. Just saying.
Is a good place to see, many things to watch.
There is a ride inside a souvenir store also.
Good place for family to enjoy.
This is a great place for little kids, my kids are teenage so they weren't as impressed, i thought it was great. Remind me when I was a kid and uses to cross under and over the train.
Perfect place to come to have a picnic with the kids, walk, and look around the trains.
They also have a train ride, it is my kids favorite part of the museum.
We loved the train that loops through twice. The kids were a bit too antsy to read all the sweet train signs. They wanted to climb on everything and lots said, do not enter.
