Rented the Kuga campervan for our 2 weeks holiday across winter US. Thanks to Travellers Autobarn our trip was amazing. The car was easy to drive, clean and comfortable for long drive. Definitely recommend and would book it again.

We took the Hi5 Campervan which slept 4 of us perfectly. The Van right away had all of the sleeping gear, pots, pans, and plenty of storage for our trip up the west coast of California!
We went up plenty of steep hills and the Van carried us to the top every time. Traveling the world with our best pals waking up to the most amazing views thanks to the ability of the Hi5 Campervan.
The service of droping off and picking up the vichle was smooth and quick. Great people who are always willing to help and answer any questions you have.
Couldn't ask for a better trip nor a better Van that made all of our memories. The Hi5 Campervan was definitely the way to go!

Aw what an experience!
From the moment I booked with TA I started to receive emails with tips, tricks and ideas for our road trip. All docs were simple yet very informative and helpful. Definitely a bonus to begin with. TA had unlimited mileage, and their one-way fee was one of the lowest I found.
On arrival at TA in SF (via train then bus) we were made very welcome. All questions we had were answered. We were given a full tour, plus instructions, of our camper. We'd paid extra for the sleeping bag/accessories kit which we were glad of.
The camper was very easy to drive. I'm used with a RHD manual (Abarth), so a LHD and automatic and it was huge in comparison Once I got the hang of it it was easy!
We travelled to LA via the PCH (mostly - landslides caused a rather long detour) We drove just over 800 miles with no mechanical issues.
We opted to stay in campsites along with way: Monterey, Big Sur, Morro Bay (my favourite and the best VFM), and Malibu Creek.
Returning the camper to LA was straight forward, however we had to make sure and refuel and refill the gas before dropping off. Give yourself time to do this (TA will email you with details of the closest to the site)
Again, the staff at TA was awesome. On recommendation we used Uber to take us to our hotel.
With the help of Travellers Autobarn we had the trip of a lifetime. The camper was obviously such a huge part of our road trip and it's featured in so many of my photos!
I have no problem recommending TA for camper rentals.
Thank you

Luis was very nice with us when we came take the van and when we return it. He explain everything very well and when we return the Van he listen to all of the trouble we meet during the trip and take notes. Hope they will fix it!
Thank you so much!

The van was great, the only thing I’d improve was the kitchen equipment - for a 75$ extra charge we got some cutlery and plates plus two pots and a teflon pan so scratched it was basically unusable, one cutting knife that was so dull I could just as well try cutting my veggies with a spoon.

That being said, I had a great trip. Picking up and returning the van went super smooth (special thanks to Luis from LA location for an impeccable customer service). I love that they have shelves in the office where you can leave food, bug sprays, toiletries and whatever you don’t need anymore for other campers to take.

Very poorly maintained vehicle. We had two breakdowns: once the brake system was broken and once the V-belt broke. Out of 16 rental cars we were off-road for 7 days. Travelers Autobarn will take care of the repairs, but will provide replacement accommodation. Transport, you have to take care of it yourself. The whole thing caused us a lot of additional costs and took away valuable vacation time. In addition, almost all of the vehicle's interior was broken, from the car radio to the refrigerator to the USB charging socket.
We absolutely cannot recommend Travelers Autobarn.

We had a great experience - our van was an older one and it had a few idiosyncratic problems but once we'd got the hang of things, we loved it. One or two basics in terms of maintenance and helpful equipment was missing but essentially it was a great, tough and rugged vehicle that never really let us down - highly recommend.

We had gotten a very old vehicle (older than 10 years) with 289,000 miles. Uphill the speed was at its limit at 35 miles and we became a traffic obstacle. Extremely loud engine noises, the interior always smelled of gasoline.
The vehicle was dirty, you have to bring the vehicle back swept clean and I think we took it over directly from our predecessor. Although we only picked up the vehicle 3 days later, the store is only open until 5 p.m. And closed over the weekend (so much for the friendly pickup times)
The dishes were dirty, the USB plugs were worn out and not working. The fan on the ceiling was so dirty that we looked for mosquito nets in vain. We contacted Autobarn by phone to say that this vehicle was unreasonable. Since we were near Las Vegas, we were ordered there with the promise that we could exchange the vehicle. After a long discussion, we then had another V8 vehicle The old one was a V6, this one only had 27,000 miles, but was much quieter and ran well and was also clean. Would never rent a vehicle there again, the only pleasant thing is unlimited miles and the friendly lady in San Francisco when picking you up, but that's one star.
We met a lot of people from the rental company on the way, most of them agreed with us except for the people who had children with them, who had newer vehicles.
So you should know that when planning.

We drove 3200 miles in 2,5 weeks and the van was absolutely reliable. From sea level up to 10,800 feet. I appreciate the values of Travellers Autobarn and the feeling of freedom while travelling. I recommend Travellers Autobarn to all who like escaping from daily life and todays convenience and experiencing the essentials.

We had an incredible time with our camper van from Travellers Autobarn. The service was really good. The cars are a little bit old, but it was great to have unlimited mileage. The best thing was the solar panel on top of the van, so we never had to use a campground. This absolute freedom was an incredible experience.

We rented the bus for 17 days from Los Angelos for the equivalent of 150 euros per day. The bus was very old and had 220,000 miles on the clock, the interior was very worn, the sleeping bags had stains, the towels had holes, we then bought our own towels. There was no USB port for my cell phone or at least Ipot to listen to our own music. This really bothered me, even my own car at home, which is 15 years old, has this function. Handing over the car was hectic and unfriendly. As soon as we drove off, the display showed that the car needed an oil change. We ignored this because an inspection would be carried out before every trip, or so we were promised. The brakes left a lot to be desired and the car had very high fuel consumption. On the 12th day we were just about to set off when the gear stopped working and we couldn't drive anymore. After several attempts via email and calls, we had someone on the line. At some point we were told that the car would be replaced in two hours, we waited a total of 8 hours. The "new" bus was even older, everything rattled and squeaked. We had lost a precious day of vacation and were really annoyed. We didn't have any technical confidence in the new car, but it held on for the last few kilometers.
Then to top it off, we received a fine for $123, which was immediately deducted from our credit card for a period of time while we were not yet in the USA. I complained, the sum was transferred back, but with a loss of 10 dollars and with a “Sorry”.
Even for the lost day (at least 150 dollars and a crappy day spent at a gas station), there was only one “sorry”. All in all a mega rip-off, I would advise everyone against it. This company only cares about profit, even if there are peace sign stickers on the buses.
Really bad.

Traveler’s Autobarn is simply the best campervan company out there for the unlimited miles, choice of vans, and customer service they provide. Especially the customer service for how they’d taken my accomodation needs into account and thoroughly helped me with everything I’d needed — absolutely phenomenal. I believe it was Jesse who helped me out with everything and should be able to help you out too. Shoutout to the phone support guy, Ron, for helping me through all my many calls of uncertainty with friendly patience too!

Get a campervan from these guys and hit the road, you won’t regret it! Many thanks for the great vacation!:)

Our 6 days and 5 nights 3-seater Campervan California experience was truly unique and memorable. Over the 1,501 km we drove, we explored some of the most stunning landscapes in this beautiful state.
We begin our journey towards Yosemite National Park, a breathtaking place. The towering mountains, majestic waterfalls and lush forests left us in awe. It was an authentic experience and connected us even more with nature.

After enjoying Yosemite Park, we headed towards the coast, passing through beautiful roads and picturesque landscapes.
We felt the ocean breeze in Santa Bárbara, a charming city full of personality. We were able to explore the beaches, walk the boardwalk and enjoy the local culture. It was a relaxing and invigorating moment on our journey.
Finally, we arrived in Santa Monica, where we ended our trip through California. The vibrant and relaxed atmosphere of this coastal city immediately infected us. We strolled along the iconic Santa Monica Pier. The energy of Santa Monica left us enchanted and was a perfect way to conclude our adventure.

Throughout the trip, the Campervan was a reliable companion. It provided us with comfort and practicality, allowing us to explore California in a flexible and convenient way. We had everything we needed at our fingertips, from a kitchenette to a cozy space to rest. The lack of a bathroom didn't hurt because we were always close to campsites and rest areas with facilities.

The experience of traveling by campervan gave us the freedom to create our own itinerary, stop at incredible places along the way and be in direct contact with nature. It was a truly unique and enriching adventure that allowed us to appreciate California's diversity and create lifelong memories.

We recommend that anyone wishing to explore this stunning region consider the option of a campervan trip. The feeling of freedom and closeness to nature are incomparable. Our experience in California will be remembered with fondness and gratitude, and we can't wait to embark on new adventures like this in the future.

We rented the Kuga van for 2 months with my boyfriend (56 days to be precise).
It was amazing, the van was great and well equipped, we took the bedding and cooking gear which was really great and perfect for the trip. In this feature you get two bath towels, two dish towels, two sleeping bags, two sheets, one for the upper bed and one for the lower bed, two pillow with covers, you also get two glasses, two cups, 4 plates, two smalls and two big, two bowls, two of each cutlery, one big knife, some cooking utensils, one pan, two pots one big and one small with lids, one kettle, and one strainers. We had everything we needed to cook and sleep, we just bought a small kitchen knife in a good will be cause it was more useful than the big one they give.

We also added the camping chairs which was really great to have! We also added the heated blanket and the heater, which I don’t recommend taking if you are going to do wild camping, because they both works when the van is plugged to a campsite (which we didn’t know).

We mostly did wild camping during this two months and had no problem with electricity because the solar panel is very powerful! It was also very easy to find dump station and water to fill up (mostly free).

We made 13640 km (8500 miles) during this two months and it was really enjoyable!
During our trip we only had to change the oil once (normal after all those kilometres) but everything was taking care of by the Road service on the phone, they found us the station and they also pay over the phone. We also had to change the tires because we were doing so many kilometres and the one we had on the van were a bit old, but same the road service pay for everything over the phone and we found a garage that was the easiest for us a that moment.

The van was really great because it’s not too tall and it gets perfectly in most of the parking spots! You just have to be careful in big cities, park where there is camera or security!

I would DEFINITELY recommend it to any one who want to do a road trip on the west coast!
We started our roars trip in LA, then we did San Diego, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite, San Francisco, redwood, crater lake, Portland, Seattle, Yellowstone, grand téton, Salt Lake City, arches, canyonland, denver, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, white sand, Tucson, saguaro, Phoenix, sunset volcano crater, Grand Canyon, monument valley, horseshoe bend, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Las Vegas, Joshua tree, Bombay beach and back to Los Angeles!

The unlimited mileage is really a great deal, you don’t find it anywhere at this price!

I would love to give a special thanks to Eduardo the manager who helped us a lot in the pick up of the van and gave us a lot of advice!

Loved it, thanks Travellers Autobarn.

Rental of a Kuga van for 10 days. Small problems after departure but quickly resolved by email.
The van is perfect for two people. Don't expect a brand new vehicle but we had no problems over the 3500km traveled.
