Travellers Autobarn Campervan Rentals San Francisco

We rented the Kuga Campervan for our one-week trip from San Francisco to Joshua Tree and other areas in southern California. This was our first campervan travel experience and we are happy to say that our expectations have been met. The booking process was straightforward and operation instructions were clearly communicated. The van and its features were exactly as described. There was ample storage space and everything was clean. The staff members were all very pleasant to deal with. They were kind enough to accommodate an after hours drop off. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! We will be renting again!

A deplorable experience!
Vehicle in pitiful condition both outside and inside, smashed everywhere that people tried to justify to me by the economic price! However with the price of the insurance paid this cannot be explained! The interior was in an incredible state of dirt, fridge, kitchen utensils, floor, cupboard, hob, we bought sheets, towels, kitchen utensils at the first Walmart we encountered, even though we had paid for the kilt, the total contempt of the agent in San Francisco when we asked him for another vehicle! Then came the mechanical problems with the assistance who hung up on me because we did not speak English, the vehicle suddenly stopped on the road even though we had a heavy goods vehicle behind us, the handbrake did not work and for to finish a leak in the steering assistance, we brought the vehicle back to the Las Vegas agency where we were also completely ignored even via the translator when we tried to explain the problems encountered, not a word excuses, NOTHING, total contempt! The misplaced irony when I sent an email to Mr Sam MacLeod with supporting photos who replied that he was giving me 5 dollars to buy another knife! TO ABSOLUTELY AVOID

YOU: Your expectations and what we offer you do not match; during pick-up, you have already been surprised by the condition of our vehicles because you thought that we offer brand new motorhomes CERTAINLY NOT, BUT WE EXPECTED A VEHICLE AT MINIMUM CLEAN! ON THE OTHER HAND, IN VIEW OF THE PRICE OF THE INSURANCE THAT WE HAVE PAID, THE STATE OF DISABLISHMENT OF THE VEHICLE IS UNJUSTIFIED.
YOU: During your first mechanical problem, you reported to us that the vehicle was no longer running because the gearbox was broken - yet you were able to continue driving for several days and several kilometers.so clearly there was no problem.no problem with gearbox
THERE WAS A PROBLEM, ACTUALLY MORE OIL IN THE STEERING, WHICH LUCKILY MY HUSBAND WAS ABLE TO DETECT IT WAS NO THANKS TO YOU!
YOU: Have you been abusive ABUSIVE? WHEN? IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU! And rude to our staff and you lied in writing to us and your travel agent informing us that we would hang up on you and refuse to help you! However, we have clear evidence - since we record all phone calls, DON'T HESITATE TO PRODUCE YOUR EVIDENCE, I HAVE NEVER BEEN ROPED, AND EVERYTHING I WRITE IS TRUE you ended up presenting us with your apologies, for your behavior NEVER IN THE LIFE I WILL APOLOGIZE TO YOU FOR THE PREJUDICE WE SUFFERED, YOU WASTED THE FIRST PART OF OUR TRIP, THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME and told us that this was due to your low level of English THIS IS THE ONLY THING TRUE IN YOUR PATHETIC ANSWER.

We always do our best to help customers who do not speak English. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE CONCRETE HELP TO FRENCH SPEAKERS, YOU SHOULD NOT CASH THE ASSISTANCE INSURANCE FROM US!

Our staff in Las Vegas worked extremely hard to make you happy, THE PERSON WHO RECEIVED US COMPLETELY IGNORED THE TRANSLATOR WE PRESENTED TO HIM TO ATTEMPT TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED TO HIM AND it is unbelievable that you say that our team ignored you.

We rented a camper in San Francisco branch for a two week trip down the coast. The van was perfect and Audrey (from the Bay area) who checked us in couldn't of been more helpful, showing us how everything worked in the van and giving us tips of where to go on our trip. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stress-free road trip.

If you want to do a road trip and you know you will drive lots of miles than rent from Travellers Autobarn. We have rented for almost one month a van in San Francisco and did whole California with it, from mountain to beach. The cars are little old but reliable. We had no problems with the one we had (a Chevy). The pick up and drop off of the van was super smooth, the staff was nice and answered to all questions we had which were not few as it was our first time to do this kind of road trip in a campervan. Also the manual and internet site have plenty of useful information. The space inside is quite good for two but it can fit an additional small/medium size adult. There is everything that you need for cooking (maybe the staff could add a corkscrew and a pair of scissors) and for sleeping. Depending on which season you go, you can rent the fan or the heater. All in all, the road trip was awesome!

The vans are too old. It's best to make sure the air conditioning and brakes work before committing to them.

Derek and team were wonderful! They were really busy but accommodated us beautifully, even though we were very late returning our vehicle. Top team at Hayward- Derek is stand out great and Gary (and his friendly dog) perfectly lovely! I recommend travellers autobarn percent!

Great experience. We rented a Kuga camper van for 2 weeks and had a great time. Although the van was somewhat older it was super comfortable and we had no technical issues at all. Great that you get unlimited milage. Staff at check in and check out were super nice. Definitely recommend.

We had a great roadtrip with kuga campervan from Travellers Autobarn. The van was Great, clean and easy to drive. The design is vera nice and comfortable. I recommend and certanly will rent a camper van here again in another destination!

Picked a Hi5 camper van to go 4 for a trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas going through Yosemite, sequoia & king canyon, Death Valley and Joshua tree national park. Great time for a group of friends who enjoy the outdoors and a good time.

What a great way to explore the west coast of the USA. We rented a kuga campervan in San Francisco for 3 weeks and loved every minute of it. Travelled 4500 km’s and did not have any technical problems or so at all! Helped by Patricia who was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend renting a campervan here.

The people here was friendly, Patricia was superrrr accomodating. The van was the best thing we did in the trip!
