Travelodge by Wyndham Costa Mesa Newport Beach Hacienda

Aside from all the homeless tweekers (it is Costa Mesa) running around on the property at times, it's a nice place. Outgoing calls can't be made, guess they are having problems with that, and the cable TV, well if you're Mexican or Vietnamese your stoked. No normal cable channels, ie: TNT, TBS, NICK, HISTORY, DISCOVERY, ETC. Nothing, awsome, newer Samsung Smart TVs, 65'+. Too bad nothing worthwhile to watch.

Good value. Everything was clean and lots of updates. Very convenient to Newport and Costa Mesa. Would have been a '5, ' except there was no soap in the shower in room 116, so that was a bit of a challenge

Great staff. Old rooms. Can get noisy. No breakfast as advertised. In the area for construction work so only used to shower and sleep and was good for that. Heater was broken a couple of nights but repaired. "Caution" You will not receive points if you don't buy the room direct from Wyndham. Again the maids and front desk staff were great at all hours.

This hotel is great you get what you pay for i like the staff they are always nice and always work with you from early check-ins or late check-outs i would stay again:)

Book this place on the short notice right next to the beach great price great location great great downright outstanding customer service made me feel at home there even as I was leaving I will always go back to this place even if it's out of my way LOL

Was a little worried when I booked them seen people didn’t have the best reviews but went ahead with my reservation this hotel had excellent beach location, it’s next to bars and was quiet I’ll definitely stay again.

Great hotel for the low price. We did have a stompy upstairs neighbor who started at midnight and continued until we got up at 3 am. Maybe request a second floor room.

if you want to go to the beach stay here is cheap and verry close to the beach!

So check in this travel lodge last night come to find out TV doesn't work want to put some of our stuff in the refrigerator the refrigerator had never been cleaned out it was full of other people's food it was all rotten and nasty in the fridge and the freezer The Jacuzzi had way too much chlorine in it it's like sitting in a bubble bath Not very much maintenance done around this place could definitely use some better housekeeping for sure

The homeless congregated outside the first floor apartments and smoked weed from about 7: 00 p.m. Through 9: 00 p.m. I had to call the front desk - a great guy by the way - and he said, "Oh, they're here again? " The area around the building smells like a weed farm on fire. That should tell you something. It's conveniently located between John Wayne Airport and the Fashion Center in Newport Beach. There's a pool but no gym. You check-in through a slit in the window. No going into a lobby. You stand outside in the parking area/entrance area and pass credit cards, identification, and paperwork back and forth under a plexiglass. Dude, Covid is over; open the lobby. Maybe it's not Covid that keeps the lobby closed, but the homeless folks. My TV didn't work, but the young man in the office fixed it for me. That is all.

FLEAS, ANTS, gum glued onto the otherwise filthy carpet! Horrific experience managed by PRICELINE who tried to pass this off as a Newport Beach hotel, and flipped to Costa Mesa on the last screen. Lessons learned, don't trust PRICELINE again and NEVER recommend this rundown filthy hotel to anyone.

The worst customer service. Lobby still closed even though covid is over for a year now. The list goes on.

Great location, close to the beach. It could use an update, everything is pretty dated. There is a decent pool and hotub which is nice. They have the lobby locked up which is a little weird.

Overall pretty good for the price.

Don't book this place with high expectations. I would compare the rooms to the las vegas strip casino rooms that you can book for $30 a night. The rooms are supposed to be non-smoking, but the humidity of the non-ventilated rooms amplifies the smell of stale cigarettes. Due to the location, windows on the bottom floor rooms do not open.

We could not watch TV as the remote controls were purposely missing the input and enter buttons. The TV was a smart TV, but not connected to the internet, which rendered the TV completely useless. The location is pretty good, very close to Newport Beach pier.

We did pre-check in through the app, only to find out that the location does not accept the pre-check-in process. Not sure why it is offered if it is not accepted. The best part about the room was the large refrigerator. Outside of that, this is a place you want to spend minimal time in.

I am quite particular when it comes to cleanliness and places I stay at. I was impressed with the Travelodge. Our room was clean and smelled fresh, the beds were comfortable and the front desk staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful. I will also add that the pool and hot tub were both clean and refreshing. This place doesn’t have any frills but it is definitely a clean, comfortable stay at an affordable price.

This room was disgusting. We didn't realize till we were leaving our pillows had blood on them and so did the bathroom wall. I wish I would have noticed it sooner because we wouldn't have stayed there. Everything seemed dark and grungy, and the bed itself was so hard. I'm happy I didn't decide to sleep on the couch they had in the room because if the bedding on the bed was dirty I can't imagine what's on the couch you can't see.

Advertise for $103, ended up being $138. False, advertisement. Met by cops during check in. Shady dealings apparently from other guests.
