Trejo's Tacos - La Brea Ave reviews
18Really mediocre food, especially for the price. Horchata was fantastic and the staff is great. Overly hyped place in my opinion.
Went here with my boyscout troop after a summer camp on catalina Island. The food was very good and the atmosphere even better. Our troop is big fans of Danny Trejo, so it was cool to visit one of his restaurants. Got a bottle of hot sauce and a souvenir water bottle from here.
I went to the one in West Hollywood - in a market area - and wasn’t impressed. But took my colleague here today since he wanted to check it out. And I must say this one blew it out of the park! Street corn, barbacoa taco, chicken tinga taco- all delicious. Wash it down with a Mexican coke!
Staff is always so friendly. Always feel welcome. Food is fresh and fast. Great margarita options.
Great place nice and very clean! Staff were respectful and polite. And the food was tasty and fresh.
Service was not great. Watch your bill. We evidently paid for someone's good time. We were a party of 13. My MIL wanted to treat us and we dis not check the bill. She bought 4 margaritas and 2 meals for someone! Waitress was bothered to serve us. Our meals were not hot. Substandard. 10 out 10.go somewhere else!
The chips and salsa were equally as good as the tacos were. We both had our favorite carnitas tacos, my wife had a cauliflower taco, and I had a beef barbacoa taco. Everything was equally satisfying.
Tried Trejo Tacos for the first time. Had steak and egg breakfast tacos and the egg and cheese. Really good. The steak had a great flavor. Trejo’s sauce was really good. Not hot at all but great flavor.
I loved it! I had a mushroom burrito it was fresh and I tasted all kinds of gourmet flavors had lunch outside with my mom. Great place
The tacos were juicy I bit into it and taco juice spilled on my shirt it was great straight fire.
As a lifelong Danny Trejo fan, I was super excited to learn I was staying right around the corner from Trejo's Tacos. The food was actually very good but mannn it was expensive! $15 for 2 small empanadas is crazy. Most disappointing was they were out of the Trejo beer which was the 1 thing I was looking forward to. Overall nice for the touristy, glad I tried but doubt I'd ever go again.
The food was okay, the tacos we received weren't that warm and the tortillas were soggy. Many things on their menu were not available. Food was definitely not worth the price. I really wanted to have a better experience, due to being a fan of Danny Trejo.
Danny Trejo has cool establishments, awesome food and pleasant staff! The steak asada bowl was excellent!
Tacos are WAY overpriced ($6 for just a Tacos shell and 4 slices of mushrooms), I also ordered a large Margarita but there was not even a drop of tequila. Spend almost $80. Not worth it.
Had the carne asada burrito. I'm not a fan of rice and beans in a buritto, but they nailed it! The food was absolutely delicious! Burrito was very generous and perfectly grilled. Great atmosphere. We ate on the patio.
It was my first time at Trejo’s Tacos and I love it. I had the birria nachos. They brought me a tray it was so much food. I had a horochata. I didn’t like it, it was not sweet, too much ice in a small glass small amount of horochata. I am from Chicago & the horochatas here are sweet, it comes with cinnamon. But I will be back to try other menu options.
Food was delicious but Mexican isn’t Mexican food with a really good hot sauce. Trejos hot sauce is but the sauce bar is watered down. Need to fix that.
We can only go based on the carne asada and fried chicken tacos, but for what we got, it was overpriced. For those prices, you'd think you get a tender and marinated carne asada, but it tasted like just a taco from a random taco shop. The fried chicken was decent.
