Tribute Pizza reviews
15Please come check this place out. Amazing pizza (napoleon base was great!) their focaccia bread with the olive oil and balsamic was amazing. I would dare to say that one of the best things I had for dinner was their noodle dish even though everything was tasty
Tribute Pizza is incredible! I really can not recommend this place enough. The pizza is insane! The crust is so good, it’s also light so you don’t fill up on bread too quickly. The focaccia bread and salads are also amazing. The best pizzas here are The Bee’s Mode, The Lady Diavola, and Biancoverde. The food is reasonably priced as well. Atmosphere and service here is also very good. The architecture is interesting as it was built inside an old post office.
Update: It’s still amazing, years later. The consistency of this restaurant is ridiculous. The focaccia is unbelievably perfect. Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had outside of Italy.
Good pizza! Got too much, one is enough for two people to share. Loved the vegan options, would come back. I would just get the square one, I think it was veggie supreme.
A Disastrous Dining Experience: Unbearable Wait, Inconsistent Quality, and Exorbitant Prices at Tribute Pizzas
My recent visit to Tribute Pizzas was an absolute nightmare that left me deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. I feel compelled to share my experience to caution others and express my frustration with the establishment.
To begin with, the wait time was absolutely unacceptable. After enduring a one-and-a-half-hour wait, our pizzas finally arrived, only to find them doughy and undercooked. It was evident that our order had been rushed due to our complaints about the lengthy wait. We kindly requested the staff to cook them a bit longer, which resulted in a catastrophic outcome.
When the pizzas were returned, they were burnt beyond recognition. The crust was excessively hard, and the toppings were completely charred. It was disheartening to witness such a lack of attention to detail and expertise in preparing a basic dish like pizza.
Considering the ordeal we had already endured, we asked if they could remake the pizzas entirely. However, even after this request, the remade pizzas failed to meet our expectations. The quality was subpar, and the taste was far from enjoyable. By the time we’re received these new pizzas we had already been waiting over two hours.
Adding insult to injury, the price we paid for this abysmal experience was exorbitant. Spending $80 for two pizzas and an appetizer felt like an unjustifiable rip-off, considering the lengthy wait, inconsistent quality, and overall disappointment.
Furthermore, I was astonished to discover an employee service charge included in the bill. Considering the lackluster service we received, this additional charge was completely unwarranted and only further exemplified the disconnect between the service provided and the charges imposed.
In summary, I strongly advise against dining at Tribute Pizzas. The excessively long wait, inconsistent and poor quality of the pizzas, and the exorbitant prices make it impossible for me to recommend this establishment to anyone. I suggest exploring other options where quality, value for money, and customer satisfaction are given the attention they truly deserve.

One of the best places for good authentic pizza. We got the tie dye pie, Mango Varo and Fairest Maiden. The tie dye pie had fresh pesto on the pizza and that is what made it the best one there. The 2 drinks were amazing and tasted great especially the Fairest Maiden as it had a fresh taste of passion fruit. Their secret sauce/ dipping called the ranch was great too. All the servers were very kind and helpful.
The place looks very aesthetic and picture perfect. Parking is a hassle in this area so it is better to park a little far and walk to the place. This place is always packed, so reserving in advance is super helpful!
San Diego is full of great pizza places, but Tribute is my Mecca. I take friends from out of town here, if people say the love pizza I always suggest Tribute, quite honestly the gold standard.
Don't sleep on their non-pizza options either. Probably some of the most flavorful meatballs and tasty salads I've ever had. Highly recommend ordering your pizza omakaze style, has never disappointed.
Finally, lets not forget the bar menu. For such a small bar, fantastic selection of libations. Their beer menu is also stellar, and their cocktails are top notch.
Tribute serves the best pizza in San Diego and the vibe they've created is excellent. The pizza is high quality brick oven pizza, the staff is very friendly, and all the food and drinks I've tried have been great. This has become my go to place to bring friends visiting from out of town.
I’m not usually one to leave reviews but this place was so highly rated I was startled at how mediocre it all was. There wasn’t anything bad but it definitely wasn’t worth the $100+ bill I received at the end. You can get better pizza for much cheaper elsewhere and I would suggest doing that.
Had the meatballs and garlic focaccia. Also had the perfect spritz. Gotta check out more of their pizzas.
Decent pizza for me and really friendly staff but was an hour wait and my wife's gluten free pizza was under cooked which made her sick later that night.
My first time.came with 2 friends and my daughter who wanted me to see it. Had had their pizza as take-out before but it was even better there,!
The only problem you'll have here is that you'll want to order everything. It's a lot of fun but make a reservation as they are quite busy most of the time.
This place is awesome one! Great pizza, beverages, and customer service! Be sure to make a reservation.
We had the pineapple and jalapeno pizza and a kale salad. I don't think it's ever necessary to review a pizza place. As long as you avoid big pizza chains, you will get better quality pizza. My pizza was loaded with toppings, cheesy and the sauce was flavorful.
Must try spot! It's definitely worth the wait if the line is long. Food, Drinks, and service were great
