Tricks Gymnastics, Dance & Swim reviews
17I am 10 years old and I have been here for 6 years and I recommend it for everyone. The people there are so nice and so kind. I love ms. Emille as a coach. She is so nice. Even ms. Jenny and Jenna. They are soooooo nice.must go here.
I’ve had my kids at Tricks for about 4 years now doing gymnastics, dance, and swim and I am very pleased with our experience here. It’s a great place for kids, especially the under 5 crowd. We’ve had some fantastic coaches and teachers that my kids have absolutely adored.
I’d say my favorite aspect of Tricks is their customer service and willingness to accommodate our needs. Whenever I call or visit the front desk I am always greeted with a smile or friendly voice, which goes a long way for me. They are the only place we’ve been to that has had such a flexible and understanding make-up policy - I know I’m getting my money’s worth no matter what. I also appreciate that Tricks offers multi-class and sibling discounts.that is so helpful to families with multiple kids! I also am grateful there are many classes going on at the same time so I can have both my kids go to class on one day instead of having to drive there multiple times a week. If you’re a busy mom of busy toddlers, this is the place to be!
The environment is good but they do have different smell when you enter inside and the swimming classes are also good but they don't have a separate shower it all be good if have one. It's disappointing.
We are so happy with swim teachers but the reception staff is really not welcome. I had put in a wait list for a particular teacher it's almost for 2 months. Today I get the email saying call as spot is open. When I call I get to know they have put wait list on wrong teacher. So I am again on waitlist. I am happy the way actual classes happen but I am not at all comfortable the way reception staff communicate, they are very rude.
We love Tricks Folsom! The teachers are amazing and my daughter can't wait for class every week!
Tricks has been so good to us, the teachers are all so caring and the office staff is always so helpful. I love that Tricks understands that life with kids gets busy and they make scheduling so easy. My kids love their classes at Tricks!
Sadly another business that seems more focused on getting new members and selling more T-shirts than caring for and treating their current members with respect. We’ve been loyal members for sometime but are unhappy after not receiving any follow-up on 2 complaints that staff had said we would be called about - 1) a teacher acting inappropriately in a class, and 2) my husband was essentially told to go home or buy a second uniform just so my son could attend his class. Many of the staff seem genuine and well meaning, most members appear happy, but if some of us are falling through the cracks then perhaps it’s time to question your motives. If selling new T-shirt’s is more important than accommodating families who pay for your classes and buy your uniforms then you need to re-evaluate your rules (is this the military or a family friendly kids gym? If you’re the Military then at least have some loaner shirts around for families with the occasional mishap). If keeping your staff members in their posts is more important than keeping our kids safe then you need to re-evaluate your priorities.
This place is TERRIBLE! We signed up at the open house because we wanted the same class as her sister. They told us we would be. Then, after the first class, they moved her sister because she was older (by only 9 months).
I had 4 months of swim lessons, then after 2 months, my child graduated from the minnows class but they had no dolphin class available for her. They had one class available for slightly older kids with the same skill but they would not let her in. They put her on the waiting list and kept her in the minnows class. She was doing the same thing for 4 months. Didn’t progress much.
Then, when she finished, we tried to schedule her 3 makeup classes, while we were on vacation, and they said since we were finished and not “enrolled” or paying anymore, we couldn’t use the makeups. One of those makeups was because the teacher was absent and my 3 yr old would not participate with a stranger. They would not work with me and I was unable to use 3 classes, that’s almost a whole month! They are a huge RIP OFF!
My daughters have been going to Tricks for six years, all the teachers are wonderful and LOVE the kids so much! My kids have gotten so much out of it and I am glad that I started them so young, still one of their favorite things to do every week!
Office Staff and teachers are great. We have been to many birthday parties there also and they are always full of energy and a good time.
The coaches genuinely care about children and very obviously love their job, which translates to a wonderful experience for the kids. My painfully shy 3 year old who typically hates people LOVES her teacher and her class. My special needs 4 year old is accepted and loved for who he is, and our 1 year old thinks her class is pretty much the best thing ever. The office staff is friendly and helpful in trying to co-ordinate schedules as much as possible.
My daughter has been at Trick's now for about a year and a half, participating in both gymnastics and swim. Everyone here is very welcoming. The staff is so friendly and enthusiastic. The coaches are awesome, especially Miss Cassie and Miss Becca for gym and Miss Sydney for swim! We have made great friends and my daughter is receiving wonderful training. Everyone is like family. We are so glad to be here!
I have taken my daughters to Trick's gymnastics in Folsom since they were 2. You can truly tell their number one focus is the kids. The themes and circuits they learn are perfect for their age groups. My youngest is in Miss Cassie's class and is quickly progressing. She enjoys the playful atmosphere and all the new things she is learning. Miss Cassie makes the session a blast and keeps the kiddos right on target with what they are learning that day. Highly recommend!
My son has been doing swim lessons with Miss Sydney for over two months now. He loves it and has come so far already. He is so confident and comfortable in the water. He can swim by himself on noodles now or just with a life jacket. I would definitely recommend Tricks for your kiddos.
My grand kids love the the teachers here. They are only 2 and they are learning to follow directions from others, besides their mommies. And They are getting SOOOooo.agile.
My son is in the toddler gym class with Miss Barbara Jo and swim class with Miss Sydney. Both are parent involvement and I love it. His attention span and listening skills have improved as well as his athleticism. Don't let the fun games fool you, they're learning real skills!
Do not waste your time or money on this place. They hire people that are young and inexperienced at teaching. From swim to gym this place is a waste.
Great swim classes but horrible dance classes. The teachers in dance class don't provide kids learning environment, more looks like a play area.
