Tropical Star Restaurant & Specialty Market

Are friends invited me and my wife to this restaurant which they said they liked very much but for me not so much at all. The service was just mediocreooker and didn't care for the atmosphere and the food was o k nothing spectacular to me.

Food was amazing! Its a small market with a dining room set up next to it. You order and pay first, then food will be prepared. Everything was well prepared and tasted delicious. Service was very friendly.

We tried 3 different entrees. The Ropa, chuletas, Cuban sandwich and also got a pasteleo and banana fritter with meat it in. (Went WITH a Puerto Rican) food was bland no seasoning. Pasteleo had potato in it. SMH. Owner was nice tho'.

I got rice and chicken.they give me one small piece of chicken. I think if we call it rice and chicken I would think it should have more than one small piece

Been going here for years. The food is delicious especially the rice and beans. Don’t ask until you try, then you’ll know. Only down side is I wish portions were bigger for price. I’d give 4.5

We had 3 Bandeja Paisa and the meat had absolutely no flavor at all. Nothing on the plate had good flavor.

1st time here today and it did not disappoint.we ordered pastel, chicharron, tostones, and chuletas everything with arroz con gandules.everything was delicious. Service was great. Definitely will be coming back for more! The pastel was my favorite item today.

We were in the area and saw the small place, the food was absolutely delicious. You can find items from different countries and the lady that serves it super friendly.

Absolutely delicious. Besides having every single food item in the grocery section you could ever want, we had a catered birthday party, and it was just so family-oriented, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. It was such a wonderful evening! Thanks for making Christina's birthday such a special day!

Delicious food, always fresh and well made. Really nice environment. They have a nice market where you can buy some imported products. I love it

First impressions wasn't good, we almost walk out, we visiting out town so we did not wanted to go some were else we drove 30min to eat here nicaragua food i did not see any, but there was one dish she pointed out, but u has to order at the market and then find a seati did jot like the process, plus they dont have any water or juices only soda can, did not like thats she kind of had an attitude, then she change,
So food fry fish mojara was good tostones and yuca thats a 5, lomo saltado flavor was good meat was kind tough dura, thats a 4, buñuelos were on point thats a 10th.

Authentic, excellent non-Mexican Latino food. Puerto Rican / Cuban dishes. Try the Ropa Vieja!

Delicious simply amazing today. The fried fish was excellent and todo estaba caliente y sabroso. Una Panameña muy contenta.
