Truckee Railroad Museum reviews
5I spent 24 hours railfanning here, great spot to go inside and cool off. Shop is small and has great railroad themed nicknacks and t shirts.
Very impressive; very big and interesting. Must-go when coming to Sacramento
Good historical information to help you get a feel for the area. Information center same building.
It's a very small museum. It's a good choice to visit it when you're waiting for bus.
One of the three museums in quaint Truckee, the rail road museum showcases history of rail road construction assisted by Chinese workers in Truckee in the nineteenth century. It is inside a small model train carriage near Truckee visitor center. Typically, visitors are welcomed and debriefed by friendly denizens of Truckee who are happy to talk about their town to guests visiting from far away. It takes only a few minutes to visit the rail road museum and you can then head out to the nearby Truckee Jail and Immigrant museums.
Ample paid parking is available 24*7.
