8Helpful staff and good prices. Staff and most patrons weren't wearing masks early Aug. (I think they were CDC recommended but not required by county order at the time.)
Good customer service. Didn't hassle me at all for problem with a chainsaw, just swapped it for another one and gave me extra time.
Very Happy with the service and support we received in choosing a Snow Blower, they took the time to explain the differences and how to operate. They delivered the Snow Blower the same day. Very pleased with their service and advice! Thank you Truckee Rents!
Employees are very nice however I was told a chain saw sharpening would take one week and I'd be called when it was ready for pick up. It ended up taking two weeks and they never bother to call to let me know it was ready.
Customer expectation for service turn around time could be greatly improved.
I'm not annoyed that it took two weeks, I'm annoyed that they didn't align my expectations with the reality of how backed up they were. If I'd been told at drop off that it could take up to two weeks it would have made the world of difference.
Too bad service i leave my chainsaw for muffler exchange and 2 months later i came back to pick up they said its not ready f.k
The staff is always very helpful and accommodating! I've rented from them many times and always been super helpful!
From buying or servicing snowblowers, chainsaws, etc.to renting earth-moving equipment or something as small as a metal detector for a few hours - these folks are knowledgeable, helpful, and awesome! We're lucky to have them in town.
Wow. The level of customer service has plummeted. We ordered a part through this organization back in January. We were told it would arrive in a few days. Two weeks after placing the order I called (which is really just a nice shorthand for left 4 messages over the course of a couple of days to get anyone to call me back) and was told the part just hadn't shipped yet. Now - a month in - I call again, First, I get told, "Well, we've had some problems with delivery due to the weather, " which would be reasonable if the part were a week overdue. Then, "I think maybe it's backordered. " No apologies, no suggestions for other places they could try. Just rushing me off the phone with, "We'll call you when it comes in. "
Update: Shortly after I posted this review, the owner called to apologize and make things right. They were swamped, and things had slipped through the cracks. I really appreciated it. Because sometimes things do don't go perfectly, and fixing things along with a sincere apology goes a long way.
