Truegreen loves the high pressure sales.
Bob insisted putting me on the schedule right Now! All I asked is to call him back later today. He hung up when I made this request without giving him a credit card.

Awful experience. I had a simple slam dunk of a job to aerate my lawn (700sf). I called on 8/4 and was told it would be scheduled in the next 5 days. 5 days passed, crickets. I called on 8/15 and was told it would happen by 8/22. Again, no call or service. I called on 8/24 and was told it will happen on 8/30, do you think I was dumb enough to trust them? Heck no. I canceled the service and have my fingers crossed they actually return my money.

This is one of those big nationwide conglomerate type companies that has "the name" but zero customer service. Hire a local guy, you'll get better value anyway. Don't believe me? Read their Yelp page. It's littered with posts like this.

Bought two services:
1. Lawn Care: It’s expensive but fine. If my gardener were a bit more sophisticated I could get same results for far less money. They do not lay sod nor seed dead spots. Having to wait months for fertilized lawn to fill holes naturally. Lawn is now much more green and thick.
2. Tree and Shrub Service: I have six Carolina Cherry trees as a hedge that are covered in black spots. TruGreen treated four times over five months but no improvement. Asked for a visit from a supervisor, got same guy who treated them - he suggested I give them more time. Called customer service only to be told “we do not treat fruit trees”. On fifth call I finally got a refund. If I had known they don’t treat fruit trees and the treatments wouldn’t work, I would have replaced the trees back in the spring or called a specialist.

I signed up for a service package of 7 lawn services in July 2021. They came out in August for the first service and it is now January 2022 and I still haven't had a 2nd service. I have called 4 times and each time they tell me someone will contact me to get the service scheduled and each time I hear nothing back. Don't walk away from this company RUN!

Such a helpful company. They provided information and didn't try and upsell.

Hire a normal Gardner and don’t trust this company. They scammed us in signing up with them and telling us our first service would be 2 days from sign up date, then they tell us they don’t have anyone for that day and schedule for the week after.ok sure, no problem. We had a scheduled service and waited until 6: 30; never heard from anyone, so called them and they said “the lawn care professional won’t be able to come today, they will come next week as we don’t have any other availabilities this week” they are already awful on their first service.let alone 6 months down the road.don’t trust them

I have no idea how these guys have anymore than one star. My lawn looks worse after one year with them taking care of it. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. I generally don’t write reviews but have to warn you this service is a waste of money.

Very aggravated. I asked multiple times if I can schedule the service for a specific date since I work 1.5 hours away and need to make arrangements to be on the property for the first treatment. I received an automatic message stating I was scheduled for Tuesday. I contacted TruGreen and I asked to have it set to Friday. I was told no problem it was scheduled for FRIDAY. I called on Friday to ask when they would be here as I did not receive a message stating when they would be on the way. I was told on the chat I was scheduled for Thursday the following week because the branch that services my area does not work on Fridays. WHAT?
After a few choice words of frustration, I reluctantly said fine then set it for the this coming Monday, I can not leave work on Thursday. We will see if they show up. Until then, I am not happy with the scheduling portion of the company. I feel I was lied to at this point, given false promises. I hope they hold true to their schedule this time.

This has got to be the worst scam in history. Don't sign up for any of their services. They up-sell everything, they call daily harassing and begging you to retain their services, and they don't cancel when you ask them to. I canceled this service 6 months ago and they never stopped billing me. Now they had the nerve to send me threatening collection letters. I called to resolve the issue by letting them know I canceled 6 months ago and they said, "how can we keep you as a client".

The end result of their service was a completely dead lawn, which had to be replaced entirely and 50+ aggravating phone calls and collection letters.
