Truly Yours Family Dental, La Mesa CA

The first time I went to Truly Yours Family Dental I was mean to everyone and ranting and raving about the cost of everything. The staff was so friendly and cordial. They really held their guns and took care of me when I don’t think anyone else would have. I really want to put a shout out to everyone working there because they kept an upbeat personality and helped focus me on the task at hand, which is sitting still and teeth are going to be worked on.

Because I am a redhead, it’s very hard for dentists to numb me and anybody knows the worst part about a dentist is if they stick with needles and you can fill it in tip of your tongue and in the back your jaw. I’ve had many more situations of horrible dentists.

But, when it comes to Truly Yours Family Dental, I’ve never experienced any of the horrible situations I have in the past. I think that Dr. Le has a real skill. I have had extensive work done at this facility and believe they are changing my mind about dentists. For the first time in a long time, I do not regret going there, except for when it came to the bill. And that’s when he came in to astonish me again. He’s always been upfront with the costs, but gave me a break. In fact, he has a really great plan for people with no insurance. I think the bottom line is Dr. Le doesn’t want my money. He wants to make me have clean or better teeth. His upbeat personality and enthusiasm, even when I was the grumpiest of grumpy really helped. It made me feel good about fixing my teeth. Like I said in the beginning, I have horrible teeth but now they are looking great!

Best dentist I have ever had! All the staff are friendly and kind. Dr.
Le cares about your comfort and making sure you have a good experience. Dental work is never fun but his place has eased a lot of the anxiety I had from bad experiences in the past.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Le for over 12 years now. I have severe sensitivity in my teeth and anxiety when going to the dentist he goes above and beyond to make me feel more comfortable including providing extra numbing gel to make things as painless as possible for me. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and make me and my family feel at home. I trust Dr. Le’s judgement with my teeth and he has great integrity as well. I always know that when I go in I’m in good hands. He’s very easy to talk to, good at explaining things and always finds a way to make you smile. Having beautiful and healthy teeth is a huge priority for me and I’m grateful to have a good and trustworthy dentist on my side.

This is my second dental cleaning with dental hygienist, Joy Herrrera. Just like her name, she is a JOY, she’s incredibly through and professional when it comes to cleaning my teeth? I am beyond happy to have found this amazing team.

This place is the first practice that I feel has truly listened to my concerns. The Doctor doesn’t judge me for my teeth but cares and wants the best for me. The staff is also great and show great attention to my comfort. The front desk pays close attention to what our insurance covers and communicates clearly. I highly recommend and have actually recommended this place.

May 3,2023 update

I broke a filling over the weekend, called on Monday and was able to secure an appointment for Wednesday. Dr. Le's office is one of only 25 that has a laser device for pain management before a procedure. I'm not sure how it works but I didn't feel the laser device and there was no pain during the procedure.it's kind of sci-fi mind boggling. If you don't like needles, you definitely want this!

Anyway, I was in and out in 5 minutes, and that included time in the lobby. They are always punctual, I've never had to wait for any extended period of time as a patient.

Teeth are as good as new! It's the best when you get work done but no one can tell you've had work done.

November 8,2021 update

I recently went in for a deep clean and some fillings. I was really impressed with all the high-tech equipment that Truly Yours uses. I think they've had the laser anesthetic for more or less a year. I've had the benefit of using that again and am impressed every time. Dr. Le really stays on top of all the technological and procedural advances. As always, another great visit.

March 25,2021 update

It's been a year of Covid. TYFD continues to put my mind at ease during my visit. All Covid safety precautions are still in place. TYFD also uses these new attachments on their tools that allow for continuous and constant suction to limit the risk of airborne particles.

I came in for a checkup today. The doctors found breaks in two different teeth. They informed me that if my schedule permitted, they could take care of the breaks immediately. I was taken care of the same day, even though I think the doctors had to stay past TYFG's normal office hours. The work was flawless as usual.

I really appreciate your help in taking care of this immediately for me so that things don't get worse and saved me from figuring out when I could schedule another visit! A happy patient!

June 30,2020 update

I've been been putting off my checkup because of Covid-19 concerns. I finally made an appointment and went in on today. Truly Yours Family Dental put my worries at ease. They value and safeguard patients' health.

Before my appointment date, I get an email that outlines the safety precautions. When I arrive, I call from my car and stay there until a tech comes out and checks my temperature and blood pressure. Hand sanitizer is provided and then I arrive at the waiting room where I only spend about a minute or two.

All patients wear masks. Staff wear masks, face shields, gloves, and full PPE. When I get to my room, I am provided with a peroxide rinse. I get my teeth checked up and cleaned and am out of there as quickly as can be. Thank you Truly Yours for taking care of me during these troubled times!

November 25,2019 update

Almost everything is looking much better except for one tooth in my lower left side. That area was difficult to brush with my non-dominant hand so I switch to my dominate hand to brush which resulted in excessive wear.

I scheduled for Dr. Le to put in some fillings. As always, the result is perfect! I am no longer having sensitivity/pain in that area when I drink cold liquids. Thanks Dr. Le!

Dr Le checked my mouth guard for proper fitting which did need some adjustments and also x-rayed and checked my bite on my sensitive back molar and filed off a high spot which relieved some pressure, both which were super, he is very skilled and always takes his time to make sure my experience is positive, as do his office staff who are kind and they all gi out of their way. I would highly recommend Truely Yours Family Dental!

I had tooth pain for years thinking that I had a weird tooth because my previous dentist said nothing was wrong. Dr Lee looked at my teeth for 2 minutes and proceeded to ask me a series of questions, diagnosing the problem and then fixing the problem immediately! Now I’m painless for the first time in years. It was such a great experience. All the staff were friendly and just so quick.

After 15 years with the same dentist, I switched to Dr. Le. Dr. Le and staff are wonderful. Dr. Le explains everything, has the latest technology and I don’t feel like he’s up selling. His staff are efficient and really nice. I’m so happy I switched

I find Drs. Le and Nguyen to be honest, reliable, conservative in their approach to dentistry, and concerned most of all with their patients-not their profits.

We are happy to have found Truly Yours, and can't wait for our next visits!

Special shout-outs to Jessica who was so great doing X-rays of my son and a ray of sunshine in our day and to our hygienist who took such great care of us and left us not just clean and happy but educated as well!

UPDATE:
Went in to be scanned for a night-guard. The process was cool and easy. They use the latest technology, and I didn't have to put any gross tasting mold in my mouth. As always, Dr. Le was gregarious, careful, and efficient.

Aida did a great job! So happy she’s on the team as a new hygienist. She’s cheerful, personable, and careful. Dr. Le was his usual affable and straightforward self! Thanks so much. Can’t wait for the grand opening of the new office!

Dr. Le, Dr. Nguyen, and staff are warm, friendly, and professional. They have worked with our entire family and have always exhibited expertise and excellent care. I know one does not often say this about dental offices, but every visit to Truly Yours Family Dental has been a joy, because I know that I am in the best of hands. They get to know patients personally and are genuinely interested in our well-being and health. This office truly epitomizes excellence!

I’ve been to several dentists over the years and Truly Yours Family Dental and Dr. Lee are truly the best. I have had just about everything done from cleanings to major dental work. I’ll never forget when I had a former root canal crown and tooth randomly fall out from eating something, I was in shock, and I ran over to them- they took me in right away. The staff are all so kind and friendly, you can tell they enjoy working with each other and make you feel happy going in, even when you may be dreading it. They never try to upsell anything like some other offices do. So honest. I like that it’s a family run office. Dr. Lee is a perfectionist and so efficient, technology savvy with all his tech dentist items, he’s passionate about his work and it shows. This review is long over due but Dr. Lee and his staff are the best!

Dr. Le and his staff provide exceptional, professional dental services. I have had routine dental work performed in Dr. Le’s office, and more complex procedures.all have been nothing short of excellent! I have nothing but praise for Truly Yours Family Dental!

Dr. Le and his staff did a wonderful job of taking care of an upper molar that ended up requiring a root canal. Pre and post care for the root canal was 1st class! Everything was communicated clearly and the work performed was done with a very positive attitude. I highly recommend Truly Yours Family Dental.

Amazing Dr Le works his magic! This high tech Dentist uses the most advanced technologies! No shots, pain numbness or any of the old school horrors of yesterday year! His Assistant Pam explains what he’s going to do, and she is an artist in her own right! Lovely experience!

I've been a patient of Dr. Le's for over a decade, so I figured it was about time I left a review. I never thought I would place so much faith and trust in a dentist, but he has definitely earned it from me. He has seen me through dental dilemmas, and I've always felt confident that he heard my needs and concerns, even getting creative to help me to find the best solution. I've lost track of the various fillings and crowns he's done for me over the years, and everything came out excellent and has continued to hold up well. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience! They have the newest and non evasive technology. My hygienist was very thorough in my cleaning and explained every step of the way. Dr. Le was equally awesome. Going over all potential issues but did not try to sell me on unnecessary dental work, which is sadly too common in dentistry. Overall fantastic experience. I would recommend to all my friends and family!

Such amazing care! I have anxiety around the dentist, so I have not been in some years. I initially went to have a cleaning, and the hygienist made me feel so comfortable. Dare I say it was almost pleasant! I was informed I had some cavities. I am deathly afraid of being numbed, but at this office they literally have a laser. No needles, took 15 minutes to fill 3 cavities and zero pain. Dr. Le took extra care of me knowing I had anxiety. He was patient, communicative, fun and made me feel so safe. I did not know I could feel so safe going to the dentist. I could literally never go anywhere else!
