Tsunami Panhandle reviews
13The veggie papasan is so good! Between the green onions, the sweet potato, and all the other ingredients, it’s always satiates my appetite. Also major shoutout to Virginia for always being so welcoming!
Beautiful Japanese food and friendly, helpful service. We loved the tuna collar and the fatty salmon in particular. Helped us choose a great Sake to I go with it.
We really love the sushi here. Especially recommend the Black Sabbath roll. The waiters are also so fantastic and knowledgeable when I have questions about their extensive sake menu.
What a great spot in San Francisco! The happy hour is unbeatable and the quality of the fish is top notch. Highly recommend getting the Chef’s Sashimi for happy hour and a hot carafe of sake.
35% will be added to your bill no matter what: 20% service (mandatory) + some taxes. This place is quite expensive; and we found that the food was not enough vs.our appetite (small plates).
We got salmon, spicy tuna and their black pepper special sushi.
As my expectations were really high I can’t say that sushi’s were great, it was okay.
Salmon was tasty as well (portion is a little bit small though) I will come back to try different things, their ambiance is great!
Frankly, it felt like a combination of overpriced and underdelivered. The oysters were very soft and virtually flavorless, the sushi was "ok" at best, definitely not up to the standard of similar sushi focused restaurants in the bay.
While the ambiance is nice and the sake & shochu menu is extensive, paying $80-100 per person for this food (incl.a shared bottle of sake) is in no relation to the actual food quality.
Cannot recommend. The food was terrible. Ironically, the service was excellent and the staff were superb. Also, a great atmosphere maybe to grab a drink or something if you were stuck on a Japanese vibe. If you were to go, just use this spot as an appetizer or drink spot to pregame for the good ambience and nice staff. For dinner, go elsewhere.
The sake was delicious. The food, meh. Paid $100 for a one person meal and unfortunately was not impressed. Did not even finish the carpaccio.
Came here to eat with my homie a few weeks ago. It seems they've extended the size of this place since the last time I came.
Place has low light setting so could be good for a nice date night.
Food was delicious and the staff was attentive and helpful.
I unfortunately didn't take any food pics. I recommend you come try it for yourself.
Went here yesterday for dinner. Woke up at 2am with a fever and projectile vomited 5 times. Woke up at 5am with pretty bad diarrhea. 2 stars because the other time I’ve been, everything was awesome
I missed the eggplant noodle so much,I cant find such a good eggplant noodles for two years since they delete the dish
Very rude staff and not one person staff or customer in the whole establishment had a mask on helping to increase the risk if your foolish enough to waste your money at this incredibly overrated, overpriced corona breeding excuse for a restaurant
