Tuk Tuk Thai Berkeley reviews
24I ordered food here for delivery since there isn't any dine in at the moment. My food was ready in five minutes and on its way but when it arrived it seemed like it was a day old and had just been microwaved. The food didn't taste fresh at all sadly. Maybe they are better dine in but I wouldn't order from here again. I was disappointed.
The nicest people i have ever met. The ladys they are beautiful people. Personality and approachable. OMG THE TAI LEMONADE ICE TEA IS THE BEST. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO GOES HERE!
E. P.
Been here multiple times and they're on point everytime. I've tried their fried rice and most of their appetizers and it's pretty tasty.
I come here often to get the Thai fried rice and it’s always made to perfection. The layout of the restaurant is spacious so that if the restaurant does get crowded you’re not rubbing elbows with people at the table next to you. The staff is friendly and their prices are reasonable)
A staple in the music and academic world. It stays open late like till 1am I think. Food is always bangin' and the price is right.
Deliver for Uber for these guys. Food is pretty much always ready on time. Very professional. Food is awesome. Love these guys.
Tuk tuk is your “old standby” kinda place. The food is decent and consistent. It’s open super late, so that helps if you’re working late and need a bite. Never bad food. Just not gourmet.
Very acceptable Thai cuisine
Thom ka quality varies. Sautes good.
Not excessively salty.
Best mango sticky rice ️
Great flavor. All entrees ️
Reasonable prices ️
A favorite of mine. Been there several times for their pineapple sole fish alone. Great stuff. Just know parking is tricky
Unbelievable place! Had their BBQ Chicken and it was out of this world! This is a must if you are visiting Berkeley or are a local!
Ambiance was cute and service was OK the the Papaya Salad was definitely not up to par, so don't be fooled by the Tuk- tuk!
Bottom line: I would definitely recommend this place. Everything is solid, even if nothing is too exciting. If you're looking for quality standard fare, eat here.
Terrific Thai food! I've been to a few Thai places in Berkeley and this has been the best - and open LATE! Do not go to the other two Thai restaurants open late (also located on Shattuck, but on the other side of University) - they do not hold a candle to Tuk Tuk. Really enjoyed their chicken satay, Tom Kha Khai soup, pad Thai and panang curry with chicken. Servers appear to be Berkeley students (?) and are all really nice. Great place!
Excellent! Food was prepared well and served up fast. Even though the place was nearly empty, we had to continually flag down the servers to get things. Reasonable pricing for the area.
Delicious food, reasonably priced, good portions, and open late with a clean and calm atmosphere. There's nothing amazing about the service which is why I gave it 4 stars.
Good Thai food, always a favorite, but of course there are several good options around Berkeley so you should check them all out.
Thai fried rice is so good. I'd stop in the middle of sex to eat a plate. Could probably be the cure for withdrawal symptoms as well.
Fantastic food! I had visited this Thai restaurant the last time I was in California and marked it as a favorite. Three years later and the food and staff are still great. This is my pick for Thai food
Unpretentious but what great food. Just the right combination of spice and fresh ingredients. They know how to treat their vehetablea, but their fish are also well put together. We had the Green Salmon (but requested red curry.no problem switching), Pineapple Sole and Shiitake Pad. The chicken in the Shoitake Pad was reasonably tender. All the dishes were excellent though the shiitake was a bit over breaded. Also chicken egg rolls and vegetarian curry puffs. The last was a pack of starch, but well fried if you like that stuff. Reasonably priced.
