I will be using a false name of Elliot for the sake of this comment.
Mental health services were called to Elliot's home, where Melinda arrived after Elliot had taken a handful of pills. I called in regard to this call and Melinda promised to call back after the crisis call she claimed to be on (ending our call at approximately 3pm). Hours later, Elliot was roaming the streets with cut up knuckles and Melinda arrived after police were on scene. Melinda refused to 5150 Elliot, even after Elliot admitted to their suicide attempt. Officers claimed Melinda had the final call for a 5150. Melinda refused to listen when Elliot's entire family advocated for their need for mental health help and was rude to multiple family members when they attempted to advocate for Elliot. I am greatly disappointed in Melinda's inadequacy and disregard for the law.
Some of the employees, make it difficult to get help. Case workers DO NOT return calls for days & act like the help is coming out of their pockets. They will cut your funds & snap without a explanation. File for a Fair Hearing!
