Turlock Lake State Rec Area reviews
8Please please please someone help me get this place open again. It’s just rotting away and it’s still got so much potential. It looks like the forest service gave up on it because MORONS destroyed windows and spray painted a lot of stuff. It’s such a nice spot I’m more than willing to go clean up a lot, if somebody else has a window guy maybe that would want to get in on this. Maybe somebody that has a few doors available. Me and my son can collect trash which is ALOTTT. We picked up as much as we could when we stayed here last night. Someone please help bring this place back to life. Maybe if we get a small group of people we can make something huge happen and the forest service will care about it again! Comment on here if you’re interested. We live on the road but would be happy to come back and meet helpers at any time. It’s got it’s own beach and everything! Lots of grills and fire rings. Bathrooms. Not working right now but they’re there. Such nice views all around. LOTS of parking space.
It's changed. Alot. Parents ran the state store from 78 to 82.not there anymore. The campground spring is capped off due to contamination the bathrooms are thrashed. It’s been absolutely neglected and let go.what a shame
Do not go there. Broken glass and garbage dispersed in the area. Horrible destination, bathrooms destroyed
Abandoned park. Assume dispersed camping.
All facilities and garbage cans are destroyed.
Broken glass on many parking spots from beer bottles and windows.
For a 104° Saturday, we cleaned up our strip of beach and had the place to ourselves until some others arrived.
From my last visit a couple years ago, it’s day and night.
If you want a good spot, I suggest you clean up for it and pack out your trash.
My Third Time There,
And on my 3rd Visit
Well Honestly
It Sucked Big Time!
Really Reminded Me Of A Big Homeless Camp
Nice spot to go swimming, beach area. Kids enjoyed it. People dont know how to clean up after themselves is the only bad thing about it.
Used to love this place. Now it's a dp and looks like something out of a zombie apocalypse! Sad
