Turlock Smiles Dentistry

I know I wont be going back to Turlock Smiles, I got a crown for 1,600.wasnt told of a cheaper one, this one has a 5 yr warranty.went back, X-rays, they wont clean my teeth unless I pay the almost 900.for deep cleaning, I dont agree asked for regular cleaning said NO.and if I dont do as they want my warranty isnt good on crown.well I cant afford all they think I need done.so they can stick the work, I will find another dentist. Out for the best price they can get, some people dont have that kind of money, even with my insurance

I want to share my experience with you, as I find it right to share with others something that I EXPERIENCED and I’ ve liked.
I came at this office for a hygiene scaling, then I was suggested to be seen by the doctor for a treatment plan. Even if I am going regularly at the hygienist, I am aware that there are many other causes for the "caries", like genetics. I was surprised to find out that i can have obturations inside the teeth even if I don't see it from outside. So for me it is very important to go to a professionist that knows his job and thats why I recommend something I was testing.

Very good doctors. I do not feel any pain after the procedure and I was satisfied with the results and the working staff.

Today's visit for my cleaning from the dental hygienist Rosio was a great experience. Also the coordinator named Vanessa explained my insurance benefits very clearly. Left the office happy!

I was so NERVOUS.from the very beginning intake with Rachel.was so easy.she walked me through step by step.until I understood everything. Veronica and Areli and Dr. Entabi, OMG.they were so helpful.assisted me with so much ease. I didn't realize people could be so helpful.and Veronica, explained everything. I Thank God for Turlock Smiles. I believe they're gonna help me get ontrack. I'll be 67 in 8days and they made me smile.even with a missing front tooth. Thank you all so much. They are flexible with insurance plans and payment options, I like that. Also the staff is very professional. I highly recommend this office!

0/10 DO NOT recommend, Time for my 6 month cleaning and I can’t bring myself to return to this office, its really too bad we have been going here since they first opened. The last time I went the dentist was SO rough with me, most painful cleaning I’ve ever had and in the midst of treatment for a cavity I had to ask them to stop because he was being so rough and didnt explain anything they were doing and it didnt feel like any sort of filling I’ve ever had. Scraping and pulling so hard my head was moving, for a simple cavity, absolutely not the right way. A couple years ago I got a cerec crown, I told them it didnt feel right and sure enough it popped off a couple months later, instead of making a new one they glued the same one back on insisting it was fine, its never felt right and now I have decay under it. So many staff changes, long waits, lack of empathy and now added anxiety to return. Please do not go here

PLEASE! Do yourself a favor and don’t go to this place. If you have been going here like my wife and I have been for several years please (you’ll thank me later) get a second opinion before getting any more work done here. There is too much to type here, but let me just say that we, (like other 1 star reviews) unfortunately learned the hard way. Over $6000 spent here this last year for root canals, inlays, deep cleanings, etc that were NOT needed. On top of that, the dentist we are seeing now said the work that was done here is very poor quality.

The dentist, Arfan Taba, is very professional and courteous. Fully recommend his services. However, the front staff are not helpful at all. I’ve called twice to get an itemized bill for my latest visit, but three weeks have passed and they haven’t sent anything. Whether it is because they are unwilling or incompetent, it is completely unacceptable. I have to take time off work to show up in person for something they could easily send through.

I went to Turlock Smiles for an exam and regular cleaning on 08/11/2023. While speaking with the dental hygienist, she asked what my income was. Not sure why the hygienist would ask this. That was the first red flag. She also informed me I need a deep cleaning but that she didn't have time for a cleaning. I never received a cleaning and was informed they refuse to do a standard cleaning even in the future. The dentist asked me many times if I had any sensitivity, as if the first no was the incorrect answer. When speaking to the person going over the treatment plan and patient responsibility numbers I noticed billing codes were incorrect and the patient responsibility amounts were incorrect. I just walked out at that point. I got a second opinion today and a regular cleaning at a different facility. I was informed I did not need any of the treatment that Turlock Smiles was recommending at all. Turlock smiles was trying to tell me that I need a crown replaced, and not one my insurance covers but one that they make in house ($1375). Today I was informed that removing the crown would open a can of worms from the new facility. I was told at Turlock Smiles I need 3 fillings (incorrect), an inlay (incorrect), wisdom teeth removal (incorrect), cosmetic repair for erosion (incorrect), and a deep cleaning (incorrect). They even said the fillings I supposedly need would cost $171 each. My patient charge under my insurance states $35-45 depending on the tooth. The lady got extremely rude when I mentioned the numbers were wrong. If I did not trust my instinct and pick up on the red flags I could have been scammed out of $5,925 as well as going through unnecessary dental work. Worse than western dental.

Had a very good experience with Dr. Taba and his staff. Everyone was helpful and explained the treatment I need very well. Vanessa went over my fees with my insurance and helped me schedule all my appointments. I’m very grateful for this staff! Definitely will continue with my routine visits!

This morning I had an appointment for checkup and cleaning. Rosio was my dental hygienist. She was very nice and gentle while cleaning my teeth. The rest of the staff was very kind and welcoming as well. I unfortunately didn’t get there names. But overall 10/10.

Courtney is the best, she’s so nice and helpful, very patient, explains things very well, makes me feel super comfortable. Highly recommend coming here

Idk how these people sleep at night taking advantage of people in this climate. Working with a lawyer because I’m pretty sure they lied to me and convinced me into a completely unnecessary and very invasive procedure that has caused me life changing distress for months and months on end. I believe they completely lied about my X-rays in order to offer me an unnecessary 9000$ treatment Not to mention that I was made to wait for over an hour almost every visit, as if I don’t have an important life to get back to and can just be there all day with no knowing when I’ll leave. If you want me to come in 90 minutes later, make the appointment time 90 minutes later! Receptionists are rude and catty, constantly tried to sell me on several things I did not need-including saying I had several cavities I never even had, arguing amongst themselves, badmouthing other patients within earshot, they mock you, AND their stupid COVID measures were not only useless but excessive. I had people telling me to secure my mask literally a minute before telling me to remove it to work on my teeth. The hygienist was always SO hard on my teeth. I’ve spoken to three other people who had dangerously bad experiences here. This dental experience has affected my life and it’s unacceptable. If this other dentist I found isn’t in agreement with their seemingly bogus diagnosis it will be time to get any possible justice I can. I’m sure they’ll make it as difficult as possible every step of the way though. Just do honest work, why is that so hard? Don’t bother responding, the only time I’ll be calling is to get my X-rays. I miss my old gentle honest dentist, Dr Corso and Albertoni’s office in Oakdale is so so much better.

The people are so nice at the front desk. If you are into hearing about personal information not. The people that work and the back our really nice very good conversation. Dont waste your time02/09/2024 rip offs. They took every picture they could and gave me a come back date
