I should’ve paid attention to all the 1 star reviews and taken them seriously. Despite explicitly inquiring about the 30-day waiting period and being assured my latest firearm purchase through them was in the clear, I later received a call stating otherwise. Now I’m facing an additional month of waiting, along with the need to reapply, and paying extra fees. Their offered alternatives were a refund (where they keep 30%) or waiting a month to run the DROS again and me paying for that. Lesson learned: don’t trust what they say…any other location would’ve told me I needed to wait ONE extra day for it to be 30-days. I’ll be choosing alternative establishments for my future firearm purchases.

Not enough staff here, you'll wait 1 to w hours if you come at the wrong time.it's better to come super early in the morning.

The staff here has poor hospitality and bad attitudes. None of them act like they care about anything. Save yourself the headache and purchase your firearms at Southgate firearms in Coarsegold. Purchasing a firearm should be an awesome experience It’s your first time or you’re just adding it to your collection. I went into purchase a firearm and was told that it was not in stock so I put 30% down and Was told to come back the following week. I called the next day just to see if it was an error, and the person told me that they actually did have the firearm in stock and confirmed that I could purchase it that day. Just before I started the paperwork to purchase the firearm, they told me that they could not actually show me the firearm, because there was an error in their system and that I would need to come back tomorrow. At this point, I asked for a refund for the down payment.

Michael was cool. A gentleman with plugs in his ears was cool and young woman up at the front desk was cool. Managerial staff make me never want to come back here again Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk

Do not shop there. Take your money somewhere else. Unhelpful staff. 5 staff members standing around.

The day I was there they had like 4 employees, not one of them would assist me they would help other people that would just walk in and bypass me like if I wasn’t there. I asked for help in the fishing department they said that no one is there and doesn’t know if they will be in today on a week day wow. I would never step back in or spend my money there very rude people and poor customers service

-Drop magazine on the floor while showing us the pistol we purchased.
-We asked for AK -47 gun, he said not in store. But we found it in the store in rack and then he showed us.
He ruined our experience for buying our first pistol.

Growing up I’ve been shopping at “Turner Outdoorsman” with my dad since I was a kid for our outdoor needs, never have I had a bad experience with them until today. Due to the salesperson by the name of Spencer M for being rude. I was casually checking out the firearms and pocket knives and he seemed annoyed/impatient attending to me. I never gave him an attitude or even said anything to him other than asking to look at a certain firearm or pocket knife. So when I asked to see one of the kershaw knives on the bottom shelf he said
“you have to be more specific we have like 50 kershaw knives”. Ruined my shopping experience, I’ve worked customer service and retail before, simply saying “sure which one would you like to look at” would’ve done the job. Idk if he was just having a bad day or what but a customer looking to buy a firearm or knife shouldn’t be smart mouthed. On the other hand Mariah S was very pleasant to deal with in the front register

Terrible customer service. Was asking the sales person some basic questions about a firearm - they were very disinterested in helping me. Not sure why. I'm all about supporting local businesses, but there's a reason why Sportsmans Warehouse has much better customer service.

Pre ordered a weapon, and was surprised by the Turners charge, but the service is good, store is clean, and inventory is good

I don’t know if I’m over reacting or not.but I purchased a trolling cold water fishing reel along with a bunch of other stuff like I do when I come down to Fresno. It was left handed. Before I left I asked about the return policy in case I found a right handed reel somewhere else. The lady said, as long as it wasn’t open for used I can true I can return it. Well I found one so I came back to return it. It was right as they were closing.people still In side shopping. Keep in mind I’m a hour away from store and don’t travel to Fresno often.which I explained it to them. And they pretty told me they couldn’t help me. It would of took less then 5 minutes to help me.

I was turned away about 20-30 minutes away from closing, that in and of itself isn’t too big a deal, but the manner in which it was done was very rude and hostile even when I explained I merely wanted to look inside and get the lay of the store the guy (who looked to be on a smoke break) got even more upset and was adamant. (even though there were people already in there looking around and the door was propped open) But wait there’s more. A friend of mine tried to buy a FN 5.7 here and because his name was a “junior” they said the suffix was in the wrong place and made him retake firearm cert and when DOJ failed the check because it didn’t match his license (and every other legal document) he had to retake it again and did eventually receive the gun after a lengthy headache. If your still not convinced my uncle was told his S&W bodyguard was ready for pick up after the 10 day waiting period, when he went to pick it up the person who initially helped him had never even submitted the DOJ paperwork so he had to wait an additional 10 days and make the long drive again. I have plenty of other stories from respectable gun enthusiasts who stay clear of this place and I warn people away because wether your a competition shooter or a hobbyist or even a beginner, there’s no place for rude and inconsiderate people discouraging new buyers/enthusiasts or even just giving the gun community a bad name.

If your in NEED of something they have in stock and no one in a 60mile radius has it, then it maybe worth going here. All I needed was a few boxes of ammo. 4 people behind the ammo/gun counter. 1 was talking with what I assumed was her boyfriend? Talking about not getting sleep, working long hours, not sure what any of that had to do with purchasing anything. The other one was registering a firearm. The older gentleman and younger lady were just standing there talking amongst themselves about double barrel guns. Maybe the one registering the firearm was the only one qualified to help customers? I'm not sure of the dynamics. But I was number 99 and when I got there it was on number 97. About an hour and 15min later I was help. At the point I realized it would have been faster to go to Madera or Hanford I was already 40min in and decided to"bite the bullet" (hahaha) and wait. If someone else would of had what I needed in fresno I would of gladly paid more.
Selection was good wait time was horrible.

If you want to be disrespected by female workers, go there. Previous gentlemens were much better and professional.

Waited in line for about 45 minutes to an hour for the female cashier (the one with the broad shoulders) to tell me we stopped giving test at 3, when i litterally seen them give #11in line a test. I was next in line. This was at 4: 13. Its unprofessional and disrespectful to wait until someone gets to the counter to lie to the customer saying we stopped giving test at 3 when i clearly seen you give one to the customer before me. Then tells another cashier stop giving out test, all while im standing there. It was rude af and really unprofessional. P.s. There is no sign saying anything about there being no tests after 3, I specifically asked. Y'all really need to step up your customer service.

I’ve been here a couple times but won’t be going back. If you want dmv wait times just to purchase ammo this is the spot. They need a separate line for just ammo sales, it doesn’t make sense to wait 30-50min to buy ammo. Just go to sportsman’s instead, they have better deals and a bigger selection on ammo either way.

I've purchased 2 firearms here and both times i've had to wait over 2 hours.goodluck trying to buy ammo you'll be stuck in line til closing
