Turner's Outdoorsman-Kearny Mesa reviews
17Horrible location walked in for ammo stood there for an hour after pulling my number nobody even greeted or said anything ended up just walking out there are better locations I won’t let this one ruin it for all turner’s
Brought my first firearm here. They guided me behind the FSC certificate to purchasing my first firearm.
Not bad the help was busy but when it came down to certain information I needed like a new sling they said look online not really a good thing to say a customer that doesn't want to shop online.
The clerk was very unprofessional, which made the waiting time extremely long. Five guns were placed in front of a customer. Because of the unprofessionalism of the clerk, the customer could not make a decision for an hour, and ten customers lined up behind. In addition, during the gun safety explanation, the clerk didn't even know what to do, and asked for help from another clerk, resulting in a long waiting time because two employees went to serve one customer, which was even longer. Also, their guns are full of scratches, and it feels like buying a new gun is no different from an old one.
I've been coming here for years now. I get most if not all my fishing tackle from this Turners location. There prices are reasonable compared the other tackle shops or Landings. The employees are really good at what they do. Parking can be a pain in the butt.
The staff were genuine and friendly, great selection, great deals… nice to know there’s a shop like this in my neighborhood! Thanks for all the help!
Great place fishing department knows their stuff, only problem i dont think i got discount for sales items i need to call and see what happened
I went into this store and I couldn't believe they only had one glock17 10rd mag this is unacceptable from a big box store especially when glock17 and 19 is the most common gun on the market then I went to the other turrners and they didn't have any at all come on turrners yall have to do better.
Decent selection of firearms. Staff is quite knowledgeable. Able to request firearms be shipped from stores through the region.
A lot of fishing gear.the partime salesman knows his craft and is not pushy.awesome
The gun side has a lot of customers and not enough emplyees to help.maybe just a customer rush.
It is busy shop for a reason.
Great place for all your fishing and shooting needs.
I usually swing by to get reels spooled. Guys always seem pretty chill. They carry a good quantity of both fresh and saltwater brands us SoCal peeps are used to. I've probably been to this location 20+ times and have never really had any issues.
I have a good experience buying my Glock 17 today with the salesman Samuel piel he make everyone easy for me thank you for a good costumer service
I have been to this turners about 3-4 times over the past 6 months to buy things for a build, Most of the staff lack basic knowledge and people skills, Not very welcoming attitudes most of them seem like they woke up on the wrong side of bed when you go in, especially when they are in the wrong. They sold me a buffer tube that said was mil spec but wasn't, I took my mil spec stock in that I purchased from turners and they exchanged it for a commercial one and gave me gift card for the difference, The commercial stock didn't even fit on the terrible quality buffer tube they sold me as well so when I tried to return the buffer tube and told them I wanted cash back because it was the wrong item, the manager was very hostile in saying I can only get a gift card because I bought the item 4 months ago, His response was "Well what were you doing with it all this time? Did you just take it out now? " And then proceeded to try to shift blame on the company the item was manufactured by saying "They" gave me the wrong part. Ya which I bought from his store. With a manager and an attitude like his its no wonder the rest of the staff follow suit. Save your money and spend it at one of the local gun shops that have integrity and actually care about your business
Went in asking for. 22 cal rounds they said they were out! Could even tell me the process to buy ammunition. I’m a retired Navy veteran and small arms instructor these guys give the impression they don’t know anything! Kept pushing me to buy a pistol or a rifle! Leave much to be desired with regards to customer service skills!
I wanted live red worms, for compost. They have flavored and natural red worms. They're also reasonably priced compared to buying them at the plant store. Happy I came. I was in and out in 10 min.
Had a great Experience, took my safety test in store, the sales personnel where attentive and full of knowledge. I want to say thanks to Sam Piel for his expertise wich made my first time Experience easy.
Turner's can be busy, but this is because they have a good selection and the staff are knowledgeable. A local shop where you can actually see and touch the products instead of trying to decide if the Amazon or eBay descriptions are accurate or realistic is really helpful to me.
