Nice that California just closes the gate to the road without any warning or reason other than an arbitrary date that you have to actively search for to know about. 0 snow on the ground. Kaiser pass road closed for literally no reason. Closing roads on set days in the season with absolutely no in-climate weather is just lazy, just because it’s more convenient to them than doing their job.

On our way to George Lake, we stopped at each of these twin lakes and all three lakes are beautiful. Best hike I've ever taken!

Lovely hike, not very crowded, the trail was very clean. Beautiful lake views!
