UC Riverside Botanic Gardens reviews
16Nice place for a walk & a lesson in plants. With a $5 donation, we toured much of the acreage & spent time with the nicest Botanist. This place appears to be run by volunteers so you can feel the passion by talking with any of them. It is of course, all outdoors so plan your day accordingly. I hoped the butterfly garden would have been an indoor section with butterflies all around but it was just a selection of butterfly attracking plants. The corpus plant was close to Blooming but not quite ready. Cool plant & they even extended their hours so more could view it. Overall it was a good visit. Handicap accessible.
Come here and spend an afternoon exploring the Gardens. You won't regret it, I guarantee you.
Probably one of my favorite places in Riverside. Nice quiet place to hike around and look at local flora (and some fauna). Went to see the corpse flower last time I was there. If you need a little nature time this is the place to go.
Beautiful garden, very hot this time of year but if you can survive heat then you will love it. Attached is a pic of the butterfly garden.
I love it here. Only $4 Parking. I went during the week the closer parking area is not too big but people are always in and out. I found a parking right away. Very nice and well kept. Benches everywhere to enjoy the scenery but still feels like you’re deep in the woods. I was too lazy to put my wallet back in my car after paying for parking and realized after I left, I ended up losing it somewhere in there while snapping pics. But I called and they were very helpful. I went back the following day to pick it up.
We had the rare opportunity to see the Corpse flower in full bloom. They were so wonderful and informative! Very beautiful and grateful they allowed us to see it up close in person. Wonderful staff!
This place is soo cool. Limited parking but you can find more parking around.parkin costs $ but the gardens are free! Bit hard to navigate with a stroller.
Really nice place to visit. It's 40 acres. It does have stroller friendly paths to walk. Good place to take kids or just to walk around.
Amazing hike, take appropriate shoes, you will be doing some uphill and sometimes the walks can be dangerous without good shoes. Hovering it is beautiful and free! You can leave a donation.
Parking is $2 an hour (card only). Free admission (donate to support if you want). Tucked inside UCR campus is their botanical garden. Plenty of simple walking trails with longer loops for those who are interested. Great way to spend a morning. No pets allowed. Parking can get a bit limited later in the morning/afternoon.
Nice garden deep inside campus, but very limited parking and campus cops do ticket, even on Sunday.
A beautiful, free! Botanical garden. Parking fee is $4 for 2 hrs.
A must visit fir a nice hike!
This place was super amazing. The guy at the gate was super friendly and nice. Walking in was nice and there is so much to see and do, I had no clue the garden was that big. There is a variety of different biomes and classes of plants for you to see. There is quite a lot to hike around and see as well. I plan on going back.
Verryyyy beautiful. Lots of plants, succulents & flowers to mingle around and see! The butterfly garden and turtle pond were my favorite places to walk to. The sequoias were stunning. In Ficus ally the trees were massive!
For sure wear tennis shoes NOT FLIP FLOPS or sandals there are too many TRAILS and HILLS to climb!
This is one of the most beautiful places to have an adventure! Hiking, shaded area for a picnic, and beautiful gardens!
For the short amount of time I was there for a photoshoot, the area is beautiful. Will definitely have to come back for more of a longer journey. Note that they have special regulations for different types of photography. If it is for a few people to a group, you have to call in advance and get approved for it. They will tell you the costs involved.
