A tiny office for the amount of patients, but the staff are hard working if not overworked!

At this point I'm in the blank about what happened to a stool specimen dropped off two days ago. No one answers the phone. Even the nurse of Dr. Clagg told me no one picks up, as she wanted to change the order to a FIT test because of the container used. A FIT result should have become available by now. But there's no one to ask whether the specimen went to the lab. Just totally frustrating. Should hire a receptionist. If the PCP office can't even get someone in the lab that's concerning. This is UCLA for god's sake, you expect better.

Go when they open or you'll be crammed together in a tiny room. You sign in via machine so it's bad for visually impaired people. And the restroom for urine samples out in the hallway!

Went in at around 1030am expecting a big line from what i read from other reviews on here.
I walked in and there were 2 ppl ahead of me and all of us suprised there is no line. Not sure how new this electronic sign in system is, but you sign in at a screen and leave your phone number and proceed to wait for your # to be called. They will send you text updates on your spot waiting time. I was in/out in about 20 minutes.

I was super nervous reading the previous reviews so I'm on a high from how amazing my experience was this morning. 15 mins from electronic registration to walking out after my blood draw. They send texts to let you know what your wait time will be and mine ended up much faster than the estimate. The staff were quick and helpful! I parked in the pay lot in the other building to make it easy on myself but you may be able to circle around and find an empty street spot too. I arrived at 8: 35am and was out at 8: 50am.

No appts. No where to sit. Old people with canes and walkers lining the halls waiting. 30 minutes wait just to register then another 15 all while fasting. Horrible experience. Only UCLA lab in valley east of 405. Ridiculous.

The lab is set up in the room about the size of a closet or my bathroom. You check in in this tiny waiting room on a small monitor and then wait in a tiny hallway. I was fortunate because there was a person there, and I was able to ask if they had my lab orders. They didn’t although my doctor had sent them in.
You have to stand for an inordinate period of time with a bunch of other peoples many are not wearing masks.
This lab is the only lab within a reasonable distance of both Toluca Lake Health Center and Bob Hope.
I went to Toluca Lake first where there are signs up for six for distancing and everyone’s wearing a mask. Then you go to the blood lab where there is no room to social distance and many people aren’t wearing masks in an airless room. How is this medically sound?

Can't get ahold of anyone. Nobody answers the phone. If you're not going to answer the phone and it doesn't have a message service why do you provide one? I'm not one to take your mess sitting down. I will complain on every site I go on to get an answer from you over priced company. Healthcare in this country is the worst. UCLA you are part of the problem. You over charge for everything. I wish I didn't have to go here.

I had great experiences here until I started coming in contact with Javier. I have a disability that requires me to lie down during bloodwork or I will faint. The first time I went in, Javier gave me so much grief about it I had to have my doctor put a formal note in my chart. I went back again and he gave me grief about it yet again, told me I don't need to, when I insisted he called 3 other people ahead of me and made me wait even longer in what felt like a punishment. When I finally got him back to help me he told me I was sitting too far away because I was lying down. I said if I got closer I'd have to put the chair in a seated position and I need to lie down. He goes "well if you get dizzy then we can lie you down but I've drawn you before and you didn't get dizzy. " THAT'S BECAUSE I WAS LYING DOWN? Are you really that arrogant to believe there aren't any conditions you don't know about or aren't the expert in, that maybe the patient knows their own body better than you? How does it even inconvenience him for me to lie down? I've never in my 18 years of getting bloodwork had this issue. I left in tears and wasted my entire day driving 30 minutes to Burbank because I falsely thought UCLA's customer service was worth the commute. I want him to know I will be filing a formal grievance to UCLA Health for discrimination based on disability. He should not be working in patient care.

I arrived at 7: 30am, they passed me at 8am to register, and they passed on the 3rd person. I don't know why I continued at 8: 10am. I couldn't find the vein. It left a big bruise on my hand and then he told me to wait for me.outside for about 5 minutes and it happened to me at 8: 30 and by all this I already had a big bruise on my hand, it comes out at 9am, terrible service
