We are part of the UCLA network so I think a lot of the challenges and surprises experienced by others occur when one is out of network. I took my teenager to this urgent care because we could not get an appointment with the PCP for a week. I arrived at 7: 35 am Monday morning to be first in line when the doors open at 8: 00 am. There were 5 or 6 people after me by 8: 00 am. My son was seen by a nurse and doctor shortly after 8 am. Dr. Manavi was thorough and had access to my son’s records. The check in and check out were super easy. We were done by 8: 30 am. His medication was ready for pickup at CVS by 9 am. This is a bad flu season and all the doctors are really busy. I’m glad this experience was so painless for us.

I was waiting in the examination room for the doctor's visit for more than 20mins. Finally, he comes and took 2 mins to “examine” me. I wouldn’t recommend going there, the treatment that you will receive is totally depending on the doctor that the assigned to you

Went in today because I fell and injured my leg. I found the care to be very unsatisfactory. The nurse is not capable of talking to patients in a polite manner, and it looks like she really hates her job she should not be a nurse. The doctor did not take ex rays and said that the pain that I had was bruising, which is not the case. I still have pain in my leg despite the ibuprofen shot that was given to me.ex rays should have been taken.
I basically feel that their care is subpar and they just want to see people leave as quickly as possible. I can't believe that such a place is affiliated with UCLA.

Please don’t go to this clinic. I went to urgent care because I saw a bullseye shaped rash around some bug bites and I wanted to make sure it wasn’t Lyme Disease. I saw an old male doctor, probably around 70-80 years old. He immediately dismissed all concerns and said “We do not have Lyme Disease in Southern California”. Well geez Doc, I actually just traveled back from Denver two weeks ago which is known to have forests with ticks that carry Lyme Disease. He was extremely dismissive and did not take my concerns seriously. It was a waste of my time and money.

Please find a more reputable clinic. I will post the incompetent doctor’s name when I go through my records.

Honestly don't even go. Go elsewhere. I walk in for 30 seconds and the doctor tells me she can't help me and I need to go to the ER. I was billed the highest level. After a month of trying to dispute this they decided it to bill the second highest level instead. This is robbery. A great example of everything that is wrong with healthcare.

The worst customer service within UCLA.
They are the limit. I don’t think they even want to try to improve. I don’t even want to give them a single star.

I had a generally positive in-office experience (really nice staff, not bad wait times, etc.) BUT they hit me with a staggeringly massive bill in the mail a few weeks later. This was totally unexpected given it's just a quick care clinic and I had such a simple/minor issue I needed help with. I was in/out of the clinic within 20 minutes, so it was frustrating that somehow that justified such a huge bill. I will definitely not be going back as I know I could find cheaper quick care elsewhere in town. Felt very swindled.

5 stars for reception and nurses. 2 stars for physician on site this morning 7/28/2022. She has no social skills and her professional skills are lacking. I will be seeking a 2nd opinion on a foot injury. It was like talking to a wall.

The doctors and nurses are great the front office staff ranges from busy to downright rude and dismissive. Not content to be dismissive to the person on the phone as well as glaring annoyingly at the person in front of her the lady in the front office interjected herself into a conversation I was having with another front office worker in order to be rude and mean to me about something that didn't even concern her. I'll think twice about going back.

I do not have a single positive thing to say about this urgent care or UCLA Health in general. If a negative star review was possible that is what I would give them. Not only was the care rushed and you are made to feel like an inconvenience for showing up there at all, but the billing of this place is nothing short of a scam. They claim to be in network, yet nothing is covered by insurance and they will charge a small fortune for you to receive any kind of care at all. It has been almost four months since my visit there and I am still being accused of not paying my bills (which were paid months prior and were exorbitant to begin with) and UCLA refuse to accept any proof of payment I provide them with. Absolutely unbelievable and the worst experience I have ever had with anything in the healthcare system.

Terrible experience here…. I was unjustifiably denied and refused treatment, in direct violation of the Hippocratic oath—among other various state and federal legal statutes and regulations—for asking the doctor (Zavahir) if any other doctors were available, simply and solely due to the fact that I felt she didn’t seem to want to help me and chose to incessantly argue and talk back to me instead (Dr. Riquaza Z. Zavahir specifically). What she did is immoral, wrong and dishonest—especially for someone who is supposed to be a doctor.

This very same doctor also denied my identical twin brother the same exact treatment (Preventative antibiotics for a respiratory infection). He died less than a month later….

Very sad and pathetic for her, as well as the Dr. Buschmann who stands behind her antics and lack of professionalism by making threats, as well as UCLA health as a whole. Dr Zavahir should not be working with UCLA Health at all, and shouldn’t even be a doctor in my humble opinion. Her direct violation of the Hippocratic oath is wrong and needs to be dealt with immediately. Dr. Buschmann always seemed like a chill, level-headed doctor the multiple times I’ve seen him but apparently his desire to be politically correct outweighs his desire to provide quality care and take care of his patients.

This place is a scam. They hold themself out as an urgent care facility but DO NOT bill as such. Rather, they bill as a "physician office". Hence, many, if not all, insurances WILL NOT cover the visit without a referral. There is NO reasonable way someone would know this, especially someone seeking urgent medical care. The reality is that this is a disgusting business practice. A sick person needs medical care, seeks urgent care thinking it is covered as "urgent care", and finds themself stuck with a hefty medical bill that by all reasonable standards would and should be covered, because what patient in their right mind would ask an urgent care facility if they billed as a "physician office"? I have never even heard of such a thing.
