UCSF might employ some of the best staff in the country. This review isn't about that. This is about the following: I've been waiting for many months to have a nasal/sinus surgery. They require someone to pick me up after the surgery, which is outpatient. However, unlike literally every other clinic or hospital that I've had procedures done, UCSF would not / could not give me a specific time for when I needed to get to their hospital, let alone a time for the surgery starting. How is someone supposed to just completely clear their entire day for a 30-minute outpatient procedure- let alone have their family member/friend/etc ALSO be free essentially the entire day? For such a renowned hospital, this policy is awful and should be abolished.

I can not thank UCSF enough they are absolutely the best. My son just had a heart transplant and i was able to stay by his side throughout his hospitalization. All of the staff went out of their way to make our stay the best they could. I want to thank you all. May God bless you all.

This review is not for my surgeon, anesthesiologist, or nurse staff. This is directly for office representatives. I’ll never be back, and I’ll never refer anyone tot he care of UCSF. Peoples health should be at the utmost importance, the lack of care, bad attitude, and blatant disregard for the needs of patients is unbelievable. I’ve never had a worse experience in my life regarding them. The financial side is laughable. They add to the bill every month and even my insurance was shocked. Too bad, the students and doctors deserve better.

So the operators are so unprofessional. I have been calling them several times and they pretend they don’t hear me. They just hang up on me every time.

Recently had cervical spine surgery at UCSF. I have been in several other hospitals in my life but have never been treated better than here. The entire staff from when I checked in to the day they wheeled me out was excellent. Truly made me feel like I was the only patient. Thank you!

So my daughter had some lab work done and was sent to UCSF I paid my portion Of the bill and received another bill for the remainder of the bill. My insurance rejected the claim. So I called my insurance and they told me that they had my daughters birth date wrong and my insurance would reach out to them and have it fixed. They never got back to my insurance and I received the bill again called UCFS AND THE PERSON WAS SO RUDE. REFUSED TO FIX MY DAUGHTERS BIRTH DATE ERROR AND REBILL BECAUSE SOME HOW IT WAS MY FAULT. SHE WOULD NOT HELP ME AND I SAID I WANTED TO TALK TO A SUPERVISOR, OF COURSE SHE DIDN'T ANSWER AND I LEFT A MESSAGE AND NEVER RECEIVED A CALLBACK. I'M SO UPSET BECAUSE I WANT TO HAVE THIS RESOLVED AND FOR SOME READON NOT GETTING ANY HELP FROM UCFS.

The administration (billing, scheduling, insurance) departments of UCSF are impressively disorganized. If not for good clinicians, it would be reason to leave.

Hopeless bureaucracy. I am trying to schedule an appointment, and get transferred from department to department. One department said they need more information, but did not even know what other information was needed, referring me back to my primary provider, who did not even know what this was about. I have today already spoken to 4 people, and still am not at the right person. The last call I was told to hold a moment, but then was transferred to someone's (I don't know who) voicemail.

Visitors beware! Covid-19 screening in the lobby is a mess. I had to wait 10 mins to get thru the front desk. Meanwhile, social distancing doesn't exist. People walking thru the area, people standing around, all mixing. They say it's for our protection?

My mom had neuro surgery here to correct her epilepsy and the surgeon did an excellent job and her epilepsy was completely cured. She had to wain off of her meds slowly but she never had a single seizure again. This is why I am giving UCSF 5 stars. I really wanted to go to medical school here as well but didn't get the opportunity too.

Came here waited 4 hours. They made me go outside to get covid tested came back neg so I thought I was good to go into the lobby and wait (with 10 other ppl) figured they all were tested and in the clear so I wasn’t worried about it. Come home the next few days I start having covid symptoms I don’t go anywhere due to covid I am one of the safest people.now I have covid because they lack in keeping people in the waiting area safe. It’s a mess Going to the hospital just to get sick smh

Dr. Qasem knows what he’s doing, very knowledgeable and experienced in hijaamah, he doesn’t just listen to you for places to cup, but gives you his professional opinion on what spots are best for your personal issues, in addition to that his hijaamah never leaves marks, I have marks from previous people I have been to who cut too deep due to inexperience or lack of knowledge, but over the 10 plus times I have been to Dr. Qasem, I’ve never experienced any scarring.

Bad service!
They make me wait for 2 hours even though I had appoinment. Then they make me wait for another 30 minutes for my medicine and they end up announcing that they don't have it right now.

The best Hijama experience, i had a severe shoulder injury that prevented me from working or even lifting a mug, medication and massage did not work, one Hijama session with Dr. Qasem and everything was gone like nothing happened—highly recommended for those looking for immediate results. Definitely my go to clinic.

Had to bring my roommate to the ER. I let him walk in while i parked. When i came to the door a guy working security (name javier martinez) starting asking me way too many questions with a very hostile energy. He instantly told me i couldnt go in because i dont have a vaccination card but he also never asked for one. I left and came back 10 mins later to pick my phone up from my roommate and he instantly started talking over me and told me i couldnt go in. I asked if he could get my phone for me. He refused and said he was on lunch even though he was sitting at the metal detector when i walked in. I cant beleive a place that people have to go to when they are feeling their worst have to get by such an an aggresive security agent.

He had a younger guy working with him that was friendly and happy to help me get my phone back. I forgot to get his name but he defintely made the situation right. 5 stars for him.
