UCSF San Mateo Primary and Specialty Care reviews
10Dr. Joshua Braslow is so great - so friendly, knowledgable, patient. Can't thank him enough!
I made appointments with a primary that were canceled. I called the cardiology office and told them I was having an issue and they said they would get back to me and never did. I do not recommend this UCSF office.
Dr Vincent is phenomenal.as a fat dude with medical problems ive had my fair share of really horrible dr's some mediocre dr's and then there's Dr. Vincent. She listens to understand rather than respond, she's empathetic to my anxiety, she never brushes off any of my concerns nor does she blame every health issue on my weight. I honestly could not have found a better Primary Care Physician. She's literally the bar ill compare every single other dr to for the rest of my life.
Had a scheduled Zoom, Dr. Vincent was no show for 30 minutes and I called the office twice, was held on phone more than 5 minutes for Dr. Vincent to ask for a reschedule. Patients do not have time to waste for missed doctor appointments.
I had an appointment scheduled and when I showed up they said the Dr.decided to work from home today. They said they tried to call me twice but didn't leave a message? The have two receptionists sitting there doing nothing in a nice office. If the Dr.isn't committed to coming in why are they wasting all that money on a facility and people. UCSF obviously is poorly run. Maybe they are going to be the next PG&E.
Five stars based on video appointment yesterday with Dr. Chaudhry and subsequent communications thru MyHealth. Very timely and professional.
Dr. Vincent cancelled the doc appointment I had with her last minute. I had already taken PTO off from work for that day. They were unable to schedule me for another appointment until two weeks later. Unprofessional IMO. They should have another doc available if the doc cancels to be present. Wouldn’t recommend. Waste of time
I was able to schedule a new patient appointmen pretty quickly in the summer and have switched to telehealth when available. My PCP is really thoughtful and compassionate which I appreciate. She's communicative in MyChart and has helped me get control of a few chronic issues I have. I've had no problems with the billing at this office as the other reviewer did.
I called 11 times in a few days trying to schedule an appointment, but I was never able to talk to a representative. I requested to "receive a call back within 30 minutes" for 9 times and I never got called back.
This is definitely how healthcare should to work.
Never ever UCSF.
I specifically asked which type of billing code would be used prior to my visit when I booked the appointment and checked with my insurance to verify the costs beforehand. They ended up billing me under another code, which made a 15 minute welcome visit for which I received no treatment or prescriptions, cost over $600. I alerted them to the error, fought with them for months, and finally paid my statement in full begrudgingly because I didn’t want to deal with them after they offered a small discount. I then received a letter from collections for $100. This is beyond ridiculous, it’s fraud and extortion, do not go here! I should have just contacted a lawyer in the first place and not paid them anything.
