Ulta Beauty, Lake Forest CA

Went for Valentines day gift, the staff is super helpful and helped me pick out a great perfume for my GF. Bit pushy asking for your email information at checkout. But overall 5 stars

3 stars for the workers actually wearing their masks and offering help. The manager was busy chut chatting with some guy who was maskless who she knew. Got that info from hearing her conversation whilst blocking the isle we were waiting to go to but needed to stay socially distanced. Also multiple non masked patrons were allowed to roam the store without being asked to put on a face covering. So as we are waiting for literally coughing and sneezing people to move from areas we are waiting on, not one employee was like "face covering please? ".
Do better. We dropped a decent chunk of cash today and we deserve a sage shopping experience.

Also nice to not be followed by security this time. Every single other time without fail we are followed.even after spending hundreds each trip.

For a guy to go to a place like Ulta it's quite intimidating, but luckily this really helpful young lady was there to help a moron like myself. Good place to shop "Clueless Guy" friendly. I'll update and provide her name later. Cheers.

Well organized and well maintained Ulta. All associates seemed to be friendly and offered help, unlike girls at some other locations.

Ulta is usually pretty good at stocking vegan make up, body and hair products. Today I was looking for hair dye and they have all the fun colors, but unfortunately my new job is not allowing me to keep my bright pink hair. I saw very few options for any kind of brown, black, or blonde.

The store is a fair size, there are still line stickers on the ground at checkout for distancing and masks are required. I went in to grab 2 things but they had neither. The saleswomen offered to order them to ship to my house for free. The staff was friendly, not overbearing like some shops.

They were super helpful with my order even when there was confusion, they were very patient and helpful. The ladies are so nice there!

I had a gift card that I never used. When the person there scratched the pin, she could not reveal the whole PIN number, So I couldn’t use the gift card that day. I was very disappointed as I had to wait 50 mins to deal with this issue. Bad customer service.

Forget it if you're "OLD" (i.e. 40+). All the employees are 20-somethings and have NO idea how to help more mature clients with their make-up needs. I went in looking for some solutions for concealer ending up accentuating wrinkles and eye-shadow and liner from ending up under my eyes and they have NO clue. I need someone who UNDERSTANDS the unique needs of more mature skin but when I asked if they had any older employees, I was told nope.

The employees here for the most part don’t know anything about the products or inventory, and seem to have zero interest in helping you. I don’t like coming here, but it’s close to my work. Please, hire better employees who are knowledgeable about the products and interested in helping the customers!

Yes I agree the people were.rude to myself. Very first time ever and I'll never go back. The embarrassment in front of other customers was so humiliating they treated me horribly. I walk with a cane I've never been there so I tried to ask a question and they ignored me every one of them. I went there with high Hope's of making me feel better do something different get a new lease on life in a dun and positive way. Boy did they ever make sure I wasnt wanted or welcome there. I may not be beautiful but I'm a great person and fun to be around. They can have their better than thou attitudes theres more out there in this world but it's not this place. It's not the the place it's the arrogant employees who take someones physical disability and not attractive enough to even allow me to have a any question I needed answered.
By the way why do you think I was there to find the right makeup to become part of the world and have confidence. Shame on you.
That will not stop me i will find what I need and they cant bring me down. I'd rather be me than to be like that. Great places do wonders for people I just need to search. Just saying the store would be so over the top fantastic if the employees were g re genuinely goodntonthe customers. You all looked really good why so miserable you cant be happy all of you there.

Difficult to get help from attendants, poor customer service and low inventory. The attendands stared at my friend and I and never offered to help. The two managers are too arrogant, and would not help check us out, they had us wait at the register for a while so i left all my items there and walked out. I got my stuff online instead.

Great shopping. Always love going there. People social distancing and cashier cleaned station after every customer.

As much as I love Ulta, I hate coming to this store. The people who work here think they are better than you and literally look down on you. I have tried to come several times and see if different workers would be different, but no, it is the same all across. I brought my husband with me to see what he thought and he noticed the same thing.

I’ve been here about 6 times in the last 5 months. Had decent service but seems hit or miss. Today went in for a specific foundation but needed to be color matched. A woman helped me but honestly I felt like she knew nothing about makeup. She just kept asking me about my skin routine saying she was a skin specialist and said I need to use their organic line. After she put makeup on me I asked her the difference between the two I was trying and she said - honestly all makeup is the same the only difference is the chemicals so just stay organic. Well, I mean that won’t help me choose a shade and I I’ve already told you the brand I prefer. Just made me uncomfortable so I left.
