Ulta Beauty reviews
16Katlin is amazing at the Benefit Brow Bar. I’ve been going to her for eyebrow waxes for years. I decided to switch up and get my eyebrows laminated. I am so in love with my new trendy brows. Thank you so much Katlin!
The manager, Tila, is so sweet, real, and helpful in finding products—ESPECIALLY for people with sensitive skin like me. Thanks for your help, Tila!
Omg I highly recommend that if you guys are looking for help to ask for Cristina she was so friendly and knows how to make sure you have all your questions answered.
I won't ever step in this place again. I booked an appointment to get my haircut and when I showed up, some snowflake by the name of "Steffi" said she wasn't "comfortable" cutting a mans hair and that she couldn't be responsible for the results! The women I complained to at the front seemed as spineless as Steffi. My recommendation to Ultra? Stop hiring woke snowflakes with personality disorders!
Lovely staff, Isabel and Steven we’re both so sweet & helpful! Great recommendations from Isabel on how to apply/style my new liquid eyeshadows!
Very good store with a wide selection of products and services. Nice and friendly staff. Caitlyn was very helpful and went out of her way to help me find what i needed.
Staff was incredibly helpful and sweet. They provided the help I needed, and very nicely answered all my question. Despite being closing time, they took the time to help me find what I was looking for. Overall I had a great experience. Thank you to the staff for helping me find what I was looking for.
Sarah dyed my hair and she did an amazing job with it. She was very nice to talk to and very informative about how to take care of the color to make it last as long as possible. I definitely would recommend this place to get your hair dyed.
Found what I was looking for, however the Fenty display at the Marina location was lacking. The Compton location was popping. The marina needs to take notes for sure.
3 stars cause I'm not too mean cause the employees are nice but their credit card services are shady. I would advise NOT getting a credit card with them. My card isn't even a full year old and they closed it. No clue why. I used it, I paid it off in full, then I get a closed account email through credit karma not the bank they have the account with and it negatively impacted my score and I don't even know why. The phone service just said we don't have info sorry can't help or talk to you and the auto service just hung up on me. Spare yourselves. Just pay cash. I didn't even do anything wrong. No late payments not a problem customer. I'm truly baffled. I'm being punished for paying my bill in full on time. Makes no sense. Thanks for the drop in my credit score. The card company said 18 months they close inactive accounts and mine was only 8 months old. Makes no sense. Don't do it. Pay cash or debit. Don't fall for their card antics.
Always alot of cool stuff I didn't know I needed til I got there. Store is clean People are nice & helpful.
Staff does a great job helping me with specific beauty questions. I love that they let me exchange or return products if they don't work out. Because of Covid you can't try all of the products in the store so this is a nice feature.
I shop at different Ulta stores often over the years as it's my "happy place". I have never ever ever had a negative experience at any location UNTIL I started shopping at this one on PCH. Just, yikes. The store is ran by a manager by the name of "Kira". (She's so problematic, she even spelled it for me.) Clearly she sets the tone of the store when it comes to how incompetant they are. It's a nice shopping center so you'd think they'd have someone with more class and common sense in charge.
I came in, purchased 3 items: a foaming cleanser, a gel medicated cleanser, and a moisturizer. The gel medicated cleanser was scanned twice. Without noticing the double scan, I left the store.
About a week later, I brought in the unopened items but also a 4th item: a clay mask I had purchased from Amazon which is not available at any Ulta store. The cashier, Lily, did my return. Not only was the double scanned gel cleanser not noticed, but the clay mask which I know for a fact would not scan or be eligible if it was not in the original receipt was accepted as a return! In her defense, she may have been attempting to cover for the previous error but thats not how we do things.
I had bought this to make a kit for an esthetician program I changed my mind about so I had a lot of amazon items I was dealing with and was relying on the competincy of the cashier to catch any mistakes and like I said, that mask would not have scanned and should have immidiately been returned to me ESPECIALLY since it's not even sold by them.
As frustrated as I was, I know mistakes happen and it's the holiday season but then I'm told they LOST the amazon clay mask they took from me. When I spoke with Kira, she spent more time going over my changed hair tone and my dog then the actual details and facts of the issue at hand. I will not be gaslit and I will not let this slide under the rug especially when I'm disrespected. There is camera footage, receipts, and I got time, K-I-R-A.
If you want to see for yourself, the mask is the La Roche-Posay Clay Mask. It is not even available ONLINE at Ulta.
**note the fake previous review by "steffie hands" gassing up the garbage manager just waiting on this review** again, yikes.
As someone who doesn't know much about beauty products, I have found that the staff at this location and the manager Kira are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Kira's expertise is impressive, especially in the skincare lines for people over age 40, and then narrowing it down by your skin issues and your budget. Also sharing this information without being "sales-y. " I enjoy going there.:)
Usually it's tricky to find stuff for oily skin but the reps were able to help me find what I needed. My makeup style is on the more unconventional side (goth) and they were still able to work with that+colormatched me perfectly. I didnt get all their names except for Hannah's but thank you guys!
I have never done my eyebrows for 18 yrs. I wanted to do them for my 19 bday and I was afraid of they would come out thin. I went to Janeth and she mapped my eyebrows and showed me how they’ll look like. A couple days later I finally did them. They came out so good and thick which I wanted. She did such a great job!
