Cashiers and the staff at the door seriously need hospitality training and mental health training. Staff who helps with products were ok, some were nice and helpful ️

The only person that said anything to me was the cashier and she was very kind. The customer service is always lacking at this location.

I just wanted to share that I have been to this store a number of times, and no one has ever made me feel valued or let alone important. I once had a girl stand there quietly with her arms crossed while I remembered to look for coupons at the last minute. Be cause of this, I have tried my hardest to stay away from this store! However, this store is down the street, so it is indeed my store, and thankfully, they have this new wonderful gal I have never seen before. This is the second time in a row I have visited, and I am fortunate to be rang up by a lovely young lady named Mylesha. She was the only paying any real attention and invited me over to her register. She is EXACTLY what excellent customer service sounds like, what it looks like, and for what it truly is. Thank you, Mylesha! You are awesome! This store doesn't suck anymore now that they have you! You go, girl!

Staff just standing behind the counter chatting as there’s a long time. I needed to trade out shampoo for a different size they weren’t willing to grab it for me I needed to cancel my whole transaction and run to back of store to yeah it myself despite everyone standing around.

Don’t get your highlights done here, I spent 4 hours in the chair and left with under processed orange highlights and my grown out roots untouched

Not my favorite Ulta in San Diego. My go-to location is the one in Clairemont. As other reviews say, they are always out of stock on stuff here so I often leave empty-handed. If you just wanna browse, then this location is okay but if you are looking for specific things, check the app to see if its available before you come in. Service is a hit or miss.

This isn't the store's fault but the parking is horrible here! Such tiny spaces with a lot of foot traffic.

Every time i come here with my boyfriend we are always followed around like we are potential shoplifters. Seems like they pick and choose who to follow around based on their appearance.

Horrible horrible experience. The employees there are rude and gossiping. I asked for help from the manager and then after helping me she went and talked bad about me right in from of me to her employees and thought I couldn’t hear. I will never go back to a Ulta beauty store again. Don’t go to this Ulta, save yourself the trouble

This ulta actually carries more products than some of the other stores. I was looking for a gel that wasnt at other stores. I preordered to save time, and then waited on a line as they lost my order my order and tried to find it for 20 minutes. Had this not happened i easily could of given them 5 stars for avoiding that crazy line!

I had a brow waxing appointment and the lady her name is Liz made me wait for an hour I don’t know where she was then she came saw me that I was waiting for her then left again. I had to go home because nobody cares. Don’t waste your time

Customer service here sucks. Nobody was willing to help me and it took awhile to grab somebody’s attention for help.

Today I went to Ulta Mission Valley to buy cosmetics for my daughters. I was greeted by a smiley and knowledgeable girl called Hanna who made my shopping experience a real delight. I just showed her my little list and she got me everything 1-2-3. She was truly fantastic! Thank you!

I never knew I needed to take care of your hair until I tried to grow a beard. Worth every penny.

If you are ever in need of waxing services, any recommendations for products, or just want great conversation. Sarah is your girl! She is the absolute best and kills it every time, I don’t trust anyone else with my brows! Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly whenever I come in, too. Keep it up!

I came in and felt out of place especially with my 3 year old, well we had a wonderful staff worker by the name of marybel, she was such a nice person, helped us out with perfect match make up she also had so much patience with my daughter and I. It was if like if i met her before, (thats how comfurtable it was to talk to her) shes amazing! Look for her guys marybel in mission valley definetly recommend her!

Honestly I picked up an online order and the lady at the pickup area was so so rude. When I pulled up i said “hi good morning im picking up an order ” she rolled her eyes and said “whats her name? ” and after i corrected her she continued to disregard i was picking up the order.like excuse me? Is there no possible way a man would be shopping here? Super homophobic and do not recommend shopping here.

They don't carry a lot of natural or organic brands. A lot of make up ingredients cause cancer. Look it up.

Good selection, however one star removed for less than helpful employees. I probably had 6+ employees pass me and not one asked if I had questions or needed assistance.

I finally decided to brave going into the store for some professional help with selecting makeup and I was not disappointed. Nicholas was very kind throughout our time talking, and he took it slow and even gave me tips on application of the new products. Overall I was just really happy that he took the time and care that he did, as I was completely out of my element and definitely unsure as to what I was looking for when I walked in. Definitely thankful to have met him otherwise I probably would have walked out without items I needed because of sheer overwhelm.
