Undercity Comics (Uptown Whittier)

For a comic store to still be in business after covid, they get four stars. There selection is good, though if you are looking for anything other than the most recent back issues youre SOL.

This place has a great selections with all staff knowing all the update news and recommendations. Very warm and welcoming. Great place for both beginners and experienced comic book collectors alike!

This place is a hit or miss. Half the time the comics are over priced or they don’t carry it. Or their mr Rodgers with friendly and service and will look for in their back issues & junk, Other times someone on their phone or computer that doesn’t even notice if your their to buy something or steal. My two cent just say hello or ask if we need help.this was pre covid

Rene was a kind sweetheart and very helpful in making our choices.really appreciate the social distancing efforts and the kindness to inform us about a pull list for future issues. Their promos are super amazing and look forward to future visits.

Great place to buy comic books, the person there is always friendly. They also have a small studio so you can make your own podcast.

I like how they are wearing there Musk now. For they no that it is more people get the virus younger teenagers and college

It was really clean and the guy that helped was nice but they didn't have issue one of any of the comics I was looking for

The selection of remainder copies here is incredible. Picked up a brand new $25 book for just $8! Friendly staff too.

Not friendly to walk ins. Was there before they were open and only had 3 copies of the title I was looking. When I asked if they more copies. Guy presume about their hundreds pull list customers.

Loved this place. Will be back. Owner is nice, knows her stuff and able to help find exactly what I was looking for. Plus they have a podcast room to rent by the hour. A little hard to see from the main Street but worth it. Also it's clean and smells decent unlike a lot of other comic places I have visited.

Well-appointed comic book store with a good variety to choose from for every reader. A nice and knowledgeable staff. It's perfectly situated in the heart of Uptown Whittier.

For free comic book day you can only take 3 comics unless you bought something then you can get more.what a joke! And I'm a regular here so I traveled to another comic shop where you can take 1 free comic each. Plus I made a few purchases, I won't be going back to undercity comics.

I'm an avid comic collector and this shop is the best to keep a pull list at around. And Rene the shop keeper is super informed about the various illustrators, companies and titles.

This place is really friendly only bad thing the smell at times the place smells weird but aside from that its aaalllll good.

It's a run of the mill comic shop. If you're looking for anything from before 2010, you will be disappointed.
