Just like all the rest of the comments, my online deliveries haven't arrived. I like to think that the postal service employees are stealing our packages! This very location hires lazy and rude people with an attitude. If they hate their jobs so much, why bothered working?

I had an issue with a mail hold and they were nice and helped me out a few months back and worked with me. They didn’t have to and they helped going out of their way to do so.

Everyone here is professional. I saw a ton of negative reviews so I wanted to give a positive one since they really did do me a solid. They people on my route are good and never had an issue.

I live in the skyline area. Often on my Mail app I show that I am getting a mail that I never get. I have called the post office a few times. And they often say that it doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re going to get your mail that day. I wait to seven day allowed before I file a complaint. But then it tells me it’s too late to file a complaint. That my time has expired. Needless to say when I called the post office 75% of the time they don’t answer. And it is always during business hours. They usually try to rush and get me off the phone. Needless to say I never get my mail. There has been at least that I know of 10 locations where I see mail on my app and I do not never get it. This is very frustrating to me. It could be my mail my bills. Post Office is a federal job. I’m really sick and tired of Colleen calling and no answer. Calling and people being rude to me. All I would like is some good mail delivery services.

My mailman Craig or Cedrick is so sharp and cool. He's been our mailman for about 20 years! Great guy! Nfl team steelers hehe. He knows all of our mail. Delivers everything precisely! Trust worthy and smart.

I moved a few months ago, and even though this post office isn’t close to me at all, this is the post office that services my area.

I’ve had issues of not receiving my mail, packages getting lost, or sent back. Only one issue has been resolved, but it was still extremely inconvenient. I’ve never had issues with postal services till this post office became my “local” one.

I really hope it gets better since I don’t plan on moving any time soon.

Mail man came today and didnt pick up my mail i already put a sign on my mail box i saw him he already passed my house 3x happened so disappointing? Date 6/1/2021

Would give zero stars if I could. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone via the phone number listed. They continually return my packages to the sender and say that my address is insufficient, although I have never had any issues with my address with other carriers. The one time I was able to get a hold of an employee they said he had no idea why my package was returned and could not do anything to help.

If your mail and packages are being mishandled, delivered to the wrong address, package tracking is being (falsely) marked as delivery attempted or as delivered and no attempted delivery or actual delivery was made and packages are being returned or lost forever, welcome to the Encanto Post Office in San Diego!

They fail to drop off my machinery package the first day I rescheduled a re-delivery and they still fail to deliver like if they can’t move a 25 pound box just tell me so I don’t was 5 work day waiting and I could just pick it up myself.

Mail and packages are constantly being lost, delivered to the wrong addresses, keys to package lockers are in the wrong mailbox’s, ‘delivery attempted’ and ‘delivered’ updates that are entered in for tracking are fake, it’s entered in even if delivery was not attempted and packages were not delivered.

Large packages (ones that do not fit in mailboxes or parcel lockers) are not delivered to apartments or houses, they are just returned to the post office and/or sent back to the sender, usually without notices being left for the customers.
Far too many packages are lost forever and poor excuses are made when complaints are brought to the attention of the supervisors and managers of the (Encanto) post office or to the San Diego Consumer Affairs Dept, and the problems continue!

If this happens with your mail and packages, you should file complaints too!
And if the post office makes excuses or will not take your complaints seriously, try contacting the postmaster for your local post office or file a complaint with the Postmaster General or the USPS Inspection service or the USPS Office of the Inspector General.

Keep complaining and don’t give up!
Eventually someone will take your complaints seriously, doubtful it will be anyone from the Encanto PO or the San Diego Consumer Affairs Dept, they only insist that you stop filing complaints, like they did with me.

I won’t stop complaining until the numerous problems that I have complained about are no longer happening and the supervisors and managers stop lying!
They claimed ‘you are the ONLY one who has complained or this is the first I am hearing of this’ and I know other people who have complained about the SAME problems with the same carrier.
They obviously don’t care and hope that people will just give up and deal with it or they don’t think people will continue to file complaints and that they can ignore the problems that exist.
This won’t improve unless we all complain and keep filing complaints until they actually DO something about their horrible staff, horrible managers, horrible supervisors, horrible mail carriers, horrible customer service, constant lost mail/packages, the mail tampering/fraud and ongoing delivery failure.

Mail delivery employee decided not to deliver the package due to construction which would require them to get off the car and walk up to drop of the package which they always have. They decided to leave a mail pickup/redelivery form. Amazon dropped off all the packages during this time which I am so grateful for. The mail delivery employee decided to not deliver at their leisure. I scheduled a redelivery online when construction cleared and USPS never attempted to deliver instead my request expired. After that the package would never be redelivered again. My advice is not to try to get your package redelivered because you are waiting on false hope.

I've had numerous issues with my mail since I moved into this USPS jurisdiction. First, the mail person does not pick up outgoing mail, sometimes for several days. He also does not take Return to Senders for several days or sometimes at all. We even asked him about it because we thought he did not understand that they were return to senders after he left them there for several days. Second, they shove mail into the mailbox without a care. I've had several pieces of mail and magazines absolutely mangled. Third, they have delivered the wrong packages to us SEVERAL times, for people who live in the building next to ours and people who live across the street. Fourth, they DON'T deliver packages to us when they are expected. SEVERAL times, we have tracked packages expected to arrive that day, only to have tracking updated later that they "attempted delivery" when they never did. One time, we literally watched a mail lady parked out in front of our building scanning packages because we were waiting for one to be delivered. We thought she was about to carry them up to deliver them. She scanned them all, put them back in the truck, and drove away. The tracking was later updated that she attempted delivery. Clearly her shift had ended and she just didn't feel like carrying the packages up the stairs. They have been leaving our packages outside the secure gate as well. Now, we have been waiting for delivery of a desk we ordered in early January. They left a notice in our mailbox stating they attempted delivery on a certain day. We were both home that day (as we are every single day because we work from home) and there was NO attempted delivery. I went online to request a redelivery, which was accepted. No one attempted to redeliver the package and the tracking has not been updated with any additional information. I have no idea where the desk is at this point or whether it will be delivered. The only word I have to describe my experience so far is incompetence.

Not the greatest and horrible with delivering mail to the correct residence. My mail always seems to get lost or is delivered to a neighbors house.

I'm not sure why or how my address with only 3 numbers gets confused with a house with 4 numbers or homes that numbers don't look anything like mine. I've posted my address all over my home, mailbox. Still doesn't seem to help.

Every time I go into this post office it has the most positive energy and work environment among the employees. Last time I was at the post office I met Mario, Dolly, Jennifer and I believe one of the supervisors Usif. All of them were so awesome and professional and obviously hard working but maintained a happy place. You could see that they probably got more accomplished because of the work climate during stressful times like these.
No one really knows how the climate of a work environment unless you work for that company but from my outside view as a customer I enjoy coming here and seeing them all happy and enjoying their job. I understand that working for the post office can be taxing on the employees but they don't show it here. I adore my post lady! She always has the most positive spirit.

Package tracking indicated Encanto PO has received my package. Two days later and Encanto PO still can not locate package within their own facility.
