If I would have known the local post office was this bad, I would never have bought my house out here.

The mail is completely unreliable. My carrier was willing to get out of his car to put an note in the box that it was "blocked" but not put the mail in. He has not delivered since. The "block" was my daughter being dropped off at 9p.m. At night by a friend after a youth event. WHY WAS MY MAIL BEING DELIVERED SO LATE? AND WHY DID HE NOT ASK THEM TO MOVE? It is a 5 minute drop off for them and NOT a blocked mailbox.

During the rain, my mailman left my box partially open so all my mail was soaked on several of the days and at least damp on all others. I've found mail on the ground outside the box and he did not pick it up to put it in the box, just left it where it fell. Packages are also not delivered to the door but DROPPED over my fence, where they could break or be damaged, or left outside. We have both a gate and a passcode for entry that is clearly marked and posted for deliveries and our dog is kept inside. There is no reason for the disrespectful and careless treatment of items we've ordered.

The staff in the office is also very rude and makes you feel like you are being an inconsiderate jerk to bring your packages in to get scanned and mailed. I have never had a good experience here, only "meh" at best.

Items are regularly stolen in Lakeside as well because all the boxes have to be out on the street. The city needs a huge overhaul and fix in the USPS system out here.

If you are considering moving to Lakeside, don't, or get a PO Box elsewhere. The middle of El Cajon has much nicer and more helpful people than my local post office. So unhappy with the service and unreliability of my mail.

A female who was working there was unprofessional and unexperienced. She took my photo with very poor quality. She didn't know how to take a photo. After submitting my passport application, the U. S department of state contacted me that the photo of the passport isn't usable for a passport and I have to submit another photo.

Pros: Overall, even this location is small, all staff were very nice when we did our passports. The lady allow us and guide us to correct some few errors on our application. Very nice attitude!

Cons: Make sure you get the passport photo with them, or they'll reject whatever you bring. Also, the employee helped us kinda pushy doing the survey. We're still in process of writing the checks to pay for our passports, and everything is not done since were doing 2 passport applications, she is very pushy and told us to grab our phone to do the survey. She even told my parents to grab their phone that was left on the car to do the survey.

But overall, good customer service. Just hoping were not feel obligated and forced to do the survey in the middle of the process doing our passports. Let the customer do it willingly, and some will do it without being forced to.

As long as you show up with your item already packaged/label on it. This location takes 10 minutes tops to drop it off at the counter and be done with the shipping process.

So it's a little post office in Lakeside. Came to mail a package for my daughter just prior to closing time. The clerk was very friendly and helpful since i didn't know what the hell i was doing. Guess I haven't mailed a package in awhile.

This Post Office is in the unincorporated town of Lakeside.
The employees do the best they can with what they have to work with.
Yes, it would help if local government would step up to clean the building up by painting and updating the interior. But until that happens, I'm grateful for it being there.

Supervisor on Friday around 3: 30 5-20-22 horrible attitude and customer service…one of his employees hit my neighbors truck.asked if if he knew owed so we could get information…no call the cops…can’t help you…wow thanks

This place looks like nobody has cleaned or maintained any kind of maintenance in years. The building overall is disgusting. To make matters worse the service is slow. No use in making an appointment. Whoever manages this site should be talked to!

Customer service so bad my appointment at 2 pm and I'm not finished till 4 pm and the employees so rude and not nice at all and super slow

Extremely friendly service, doing the best they can within the silliness that is the United States Postal Service. They were super helpful when we moved to the area and needed to get a mailbox key, and have been so friendly even in the face of the folks that come in with attitude. Is there sometimes a wait, sure. Are they doing the best they can, with the best attitude that they can, they sure are.

The staff there were nice, especially an employee whose name was Perla. I thank her very much. She made a great effort with me and she was very kind.

Post office boxes need to be accessible seven days a week during the daytime hours. Close the counter but leave the front door open so people can get their mail.

IF you can get here after work and before they close most of the employees are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately if you don't get off work until about 5 or after you aren't going to be able to pick up your mail if you have a PO BOX. They need to have the lobby open until 8 or 9 pm to give people time to get there. I asked when they first shortened the hours when they were going back to 24 hours and they said never. No one wants to come back and close up after going home.

I went there on 03/24/21 to make passport and the lady over there she tell me next available appointment on 04/15/21 and i ask her if any place accept Walk In no appointment needed or there is any chance have appointment before that even if different location she 'tell me let me see' and than she say 'no' so i tell her ok i will take the one on 04/15/21 she tell me 'no is not available any more now the onle one i have on 04/21/21' and i say ok! I will take it and after i left i look onlin i fund they still have available appointment on 04/15/21.feel sorry to say it but she just didn't like me becous I am Middle Eastern

Ordered something online and this place is giving me the run around. USPS website says my package was out for delivery but couldn't be delivered and now it's at the post office for pickup. The problem is when I go to pick it up they say it's out for delivery. It's been 2 days now and someone was always home to receive it. Where is my package?

Worst service, lying about leaving notices, missing delivery dates multiple times and delivering mail as late as 20: 00 at night.

Closed access to po boxes on Sunday. Access to po boxes closed again this Saturday without notice. Not getting the access I paid for.

I tried to call 5 times today. I called because the tracking info provided by their driver/and or Usps workers indicated two opposite outcomes For delivery. No one answers the phone there which is ridiculous. Now, I have to drive 45 mins (I moved) to figure out where the heck my mail is. Thanks.

Worst post office ever. They dont deliver packages or mail. They've had a package of mine for 4 days and won't deliver it I have babies and cant just go to the post office.

Where is my mail? Again no USPS mail service today. Waiting for an item to be picked up since this morning, it is now 8: 45pm. I checked my mailbox to see if they forgot to put the flag down and my outgoing mail was still there. Wednesday they came at 6: 40 in the morning. The mail truck hasn’t come by at all today. I realize we’re in a pandemic I can’t find out any information. I have checked all over the USPS websites for help and got nothing. Maybe I shouldn’t complain because when the do deliver they put my mail in another persons mailbox. Like my prescriptions, my dogs prescriptions and mail that has to be signed for. The other person signed for it and threw it away! It was a debit card with 2,000.00 on it. It wasn’t easy but eventually it was replaced. I have to put my mail in my husband’s name and I signed up for informed delivery which is useless. Sure I get pictures of some mail but on several occasions get the no mail and my renewed license was delivered. I guess it’s a no win situation.
