Universal Appliance Repair reviews
7After 2other horrible technicians from 2 other companies, I was happy to find Universal. They were courteous and professional (Dennis was our tech). He diagnosed and EXPLAINED what was wrong ordered the parts and was back in a week to install. The price was fair with no hidden fees. The office did there part as well by calling us and letting us know when the part was in. These 2 other companies that came in was like begging them to get the job done calling over and over to get no info, they were nightmares! Do yourselves a favor, if you want a repair done right, call Universal, I have nothing but positive comments to say about this company!
Worst customer service.from the miserable tech to the man answering the phone.didn't do a thing. Didn't repair what was asked. Didnt want to make customer happy, rude on phone.
I had a horrible experience with this company. The guy who came to do the service is Russian he didn't speak any English and when he tried to explain to me the inspection that he did, I couldn't understand a word. I told him that the problem with my washer was the water level and the spin cycle leaving the the clothes wet. He ran a spin cycle without any clothes. Hello! How are you able to see the problem with no clothes in the washer! Then he checked the water coming out of my hose and said it was my water pressure. Again how are you able to determine that with no clothes in the washer? But the worst part was his attitude, he got frustrated at me because I couldn't understand what he was saying. Please save yourself a headache and don't use this company.
Excellent service - expert technician. Called in advance, arrived on time, immediately identified the trouble with a new GE dryer and repaired it on the spot. Can't beat that.
Universal Appliance Repair came in same day to diagnose our broken refrigerator - it was a bit of a desperate situation at home, with precious frozen items like baby's milk thawing out. The technician was excellent - very honest, open and thorough in his investigation. He understood the urgency and sent over a report to LG ASAP and LG approved it right away. So far so good.
I can't say enough good things about them. But I'll try. Several years ago I purchased a refrigerator/freezer that is now well out of warranty. When it recently stopped refrigerating- which is what it was supposed to do, I contacted a local service repair place. When they arrived (the service charge was $60) they told me that over time the unit had lost freon, that the freon needed to be replaced and additionally it would cost me $250 for a valve to be installed in order to do the service. I was skeptical so I called Universal Appliance Repair and explained my dilemma. Without trying to get a dime from me, they advised me that I probably didn't need freon and that even if I did, that the valve costs about 10 bucks and five minutes to install. Universal's total charge for the service call, freon if needed and the valve would have been about $240 or less. Free, friendly, good advice and old customer loyalty. What more can you ask?
