Like hair dresser with scissors. Careful cuts. If you don't want to be scalped, this is an OK choice.

I called before and was given an appointment. I arrived a minute prior to appointment. The hair stylist looked at me and then said she would take an elderly woman; was asked my name in the course of this, the stylist put me in a bad place like I would be the reason the elderly woman would have to wait. I humbly said i would wait. I simply walked out for 10-12 minutes and when I returned she took another client. I won’t return if that is the lack of respect I am shown after being respectful to the arbitrary situation

My brother and I make the drive to Berkeley from Hayward every 2 weeks to get our hair cut from Daisy. If you’re looking to get a hair cut on friday or saturday an appointment is best since she does get busy but good thing she is fast on mens cuts

Daisy is wonderful and has been doing my hair for years. She always gets me exactly the look I want, which I have not found in other salons. The salon is nice and clean and relaxing. Definitely recommend

I went to this place looking at a +4 rating. Guys don't get on this scam the lady Daisy is extremely rude out there.she didn't even let me speak about how I wanted to cut my hair and she told me to sit on the chair when I was about to tell her how I wanna cut my hair.all I wanted was to cut my side hair and she razor my back hair.when I said I don't want to cut my back hair she told me I didn't tell her. This was the biggest mistake of my life to choose this hair salon. I'm never coming back to this place again and don't recommend anyone who looks at the review to choosing the salon

I get excellent hair cuts every time. You can drop in or set an appointment the price is very reasobable. Daisy Reynaldo rocks- she is easy-going, kind and considerate. Parking for bikes and cars is easy. There are relaxing animal shows on the tv if you have to wait.

Excellent haircut on short notice! Left a message in the morning and was able to schedule a same-day appointment. Great service: friendly, pleasant small-talk but happy to get you in and out quickly if needed, good with both clippers and scissors, and a better price than I've seen anywhere else in the area.

You can have to wait a little even if you have an appointment for a certain time, but the lady who works here is always so wonderful. Plus she cuts my hair better than anyone else I’ve found in the past few years

University Hair Care, and more importantly, Daisy the proprietor, has become my go-to hair care resource. I’ve been coming here for approximately two years as of 2023. There is a line at almost every time of day, which is understandable because the hair cut is very economical and also quite stylish. I’ve learned to call ahead to make an appointment—often she can see me the same day if you have some flexibility.

Daisy works with her customers to develop a clear picture of what they want, then executes quickly and efficiently. She’s also very nice. I’ve seen her interactions with a range of customers (most appreciate her as much as I do, though some are rude). Daisy treats everyone respectfully. She works to make her customers leave looking better than when they came in the door.
