Helpful and friendly staff, clean facility, MRI technician professional and efficient

Today I went in for my third MRI within the past 18 months, and this was by far the best experience. Every staff member I spoke to was kind, pleasant and professional. The technician was excellent-I'm a little claustraphobic, so he made a real effort to keep me informed as to what was happening during the procedure. For example, he would say "Okay, this next part will take about 3 1/2 minutes" so I knew what to expect. He kept updating me during the MRI so I did not become anxious. Everyone was very respectful and approachable. I highly recommend University Imaging.

I had an xray here. The people were very polite at the front desk. The xray technician was super nice and gave me cookies before I left. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I recently had a MRI on my brain at University Medical Imaging and had a very positive experience. I am mildly claustrophobic and the technician, Robert, worked with my fear in a very gentle way so I could complete the test without any sedation. I asked him to put me in the machine first for a "dry run" and immediately take me out, which he did. I also tried also the test with my eyes covered which scared me even more. I asked him what other people did to rise above their fears and he told me that other people focused on what brought them there: debilitation and pain and to know that the test would give them answers and hope. I also removed my socks feeling the cool air flow on my feet was reassurring. Lastly, I focused on my breath and used it to relax me and I allowed all the machine noise and vibration as a further tool to relax me. Oh yes, the technician kept in contact with me thoughout the test letting me know how long each test was and how many more were to come with helped me stay calm. The sent their results over to my doctor in about an hour and the whole experience was very efficient and $925 as a cash pay for contrast and without contrast images. They made the best of a challenging experience for me and for that I am grateful.
