University Square Dental, San Diego CA

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Nguyen and his staff at University Square Dental! Dr. Nguyen explains everything clearly and is gentle (which is great for me because I am terrified of the dentist), he's great with kids. My kids love going to see him every 6 months. His staff is always professional and friendly.

It's the first time in years I've got my teeth properly cleaned. Dr. Tran is very nice. He has spent time to explain to me how is going on and how to keep my teeth healthy.
Staff people are nice too.

Dr. Tran is a kind, patient, knowledgeable, fair, and honest dentist. He is the only dentist that my dad, who has dementia, will let operate on him. As soon as my dad sees Dr. Tran, a big smile fills his face. My dad does not remember a lot these days, but he remembers Dr. Tran and immediately eases into laughs and conversation. His whole spirit just lights up, which he doesn't do for many people let alone in a medical setting. Dr. Tran has been nothing but patient and supportive helping us navigate my dad's dental health on top of the difficulties that come with dementia. The front desk and dental assistants are also patient and kind. I cannot say enough good things about this dental team.

I don't think I have ever been to a better dentist in San Diego, CA. Dr. Nguyen took some before/after pictures and keeps them on file so that we can track my oral health over time. Unlike other dentists I have been to in San Diego, Dr. Nguyen took the time to re-teach me the basics of how to brush properly and safely. He showed me a great trick that i never knew about to clean the far back areas of my mouth (open my jaw a little) and avoid making common mistakes that would lead to cavities back there or even worse, lead to a tooth extraction in my 50s. I've been to a number of dentists in San Diego, CA and he is the only one who I have had that bills fairly, educates me on oral health, and doesn't try to sell me on things i don't need. Thank you Dr. Nguyen!

The dentist and dental assistants are great! The dentist is very patient with my two little ones and they have such a great experience when they go in for a visit.
