7Website said 30 mins, ended up being 2 hours. Gas is expensive, so instead of taking my dads truck on the trip, I offered to take my jalopy to save gas. We were sent to secondary inspection, understandably. I bought my car with a speaker box in the trunk that I don’t know how to remove. It wasn’t even about the inspection (that’s their job.) What got me upset was that I was using their restroom when they said we were good to go. I wasn’t sure which way to, so my dad went to ask one of the Border Patrol agents. He said that she had attitude toward him from the start. Pro-tip: If you’re going to be bothered by someone asking a simple question, quit your job
So slow every time. Take 3 o 4 hours to cross there's only 2 entry doors
Today we decided to return before Baja 500 masses returned across theborder. Asked a question & immediately the C. & B. Officer acted rudely & said we had to pull in for a full car inspection. DO NOT TAKE FRUIT. GET THEIR LIST OF prohibited items && declare it.
Excellent border crossing. Going into Tecate, Mexico it is a single file and we have never had to wait at all. We normally cross between 11am-3pm and have never had to wait. Coming back to the US, the longest wait time was 45 minutes - Also single file.
Went through Sat 2-11 about 1 & only took 10 mins- very nice & easy - will definitely go that way from now on.
Beautiful border crossing, super slow weight times up to four hours. Not sure what’s going on with the car crossing, it is not efficient, a waste of taxpayer money and time of civilians just sitting wasting their life waiting for these officers to let them through the border.
The driving directions to get into the border crossing are incorrect. We ran into several barricaded, dead end streets while working our way to the east to find the actual entrance.
