Quick and simple. Lady's attitude was typical of government personnel. If you understand what I mean. It's always possible to be more friendly, but I don't think its a requirement lol.

Make as many complaints as you can so things start to change. Press 0 over and over once the recording is finished to get through the phone system, and leave a complaint with management, the OIG (office of inspector general), and document here for the future management. SSA basically has no oversight, except for excluding the public.

Seems many of the negative reviews are people trying to reach this SSA office by phone so I cannot speak to the phone support part. This review is based on my recent in-person experience. I walked in right when they opened at 9am. I know from experience with any government offices, they get busier the later the day gets so it's always best to get there when they open. I was greeted politely by the security guard, registered inside the self-service check in kiosk, got my assigned number and didn't have to wait long (~5-7 minutes) until I got called. The rep who helped me with my specific matter was very polite and efficient. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes total. Don't believe all of the negative reviews here as there are always two sides to every story. My experience was the exact opposite.

I have had the worst experience trying to get my name changed since right after covid hit and getting a hold of anyone on the phone is insanity. I've also visited locations in 3 states trying to get an in person appt but it's like just don't want to do their jobs. However, this location is open and seeing people in person without an appt. You do have to wear a mask and there is an armed security guard for some unknown reason, but they helped me and I was in and out in less than 30 mins. Finally!

Waited for 30 min on hold! Then they went home at 4 pm! I wanted to give them no but had no place to leave but 1

Ya cant get them on the phone nor attend your appointment due to the gaurd not letting you in the door so you can attend your appointment. Plus I have been on hold several times for hours on end and I get hung up on. This is not good for coming back to my home town. What happend yall?

I have tried since February 2022 to resolve a problem been hung up on twice After 20 minute waits, I get nowhere. I have left message after message for callbacks and still no one calls me back I Can't talk to anybody that knows anything. I am so Frustrated with this whole system. I even called the national number and they couldn't help me.

I Was on the phone for 30 min I found out that they posted the wrong phone number They need to change it.

Very helpful got there around 10.30am no one there.waited about 3 minutes was out the door

Absolutely horrible service. Can’t get through to anyone on the number. Finally went into the office in person just to try and schedule an appointment and the security guard was amazingly rude. Wouldn’t let me talk to anybody and no one would come out just to answer questions. What a terrible place.

This Office is the worst.the people are always rude, unhelpful and useless. I have had a payee that is committing Fraud and this woman named Kathy was defending him.this office should be closed and everyone working there should be fired.

I was cut off and when I called back their phone was too busy to help me out. I have a limited time to respond to a letter I received from SSA or my phone died during this call.

Absolutely unhelpful. The woman I spoke with was rude and hollow. She was unwilling to provide any* information. Giving one star because the only helpful thing that happened was answering the phone.

Was pleasantly surprised how nice my experience was at this office. Wish the D. M. V.ran this good!

Just moved to this area and was very pleased with this Social Security Office. I was helped within 10 mins after arrival. The person that helped me was knowledgeable, very patience and helpful.
