I experienced poor customer service at this location from the supervisory level to front-line staff. This office must remember the purpose of their work and train staff accordingly, customer service representative Kuma and her supervisor Abdullah Yaseer provided me with poor service today; do better!

Seeking guidance and assistance, my 19 year old daughter called to ask if the representative would check to see if there was any activity on her account social security number to check for fraudulent activity or misuse. Representatives are supposed to assist with this according to a person who works at this office. However, the representative on the phone said, "I can't help you. There's nothing I can do. " Then proceeded to hang-up the phone. PLEASE train your employees to serve their customers properly when they are seeking assistance to navigate the social security system.

Went in with my daughter today 11/02/22. Her social security number was stolen and being used by someone else. We signed in and the guy that signed us in asked what we were here for. We said fraud. He said fill out this paperwork. We did. Took it to the lady in window 2. She asked for ID and told us we will get a replacement card in a few days. We said we are not here for a replacement card we are here for fraud. She said with a raised voice we should of told her. And we said we told the guy who signed us in and he said to fill out this form. She said he doesn't know what he's doing. We trust what the employees tell us. We don't work there. How are we supposed to know what they are doing. Rude and gave us credit reporting information that we already knew we had to report to.

Rudest teller she wouldnt expect my children's immunization records because they were not stamped. I told her kaiser has changed there was and due not stamp anymore still would not expect it and gave me a form. I called kaiser they stated this was the first problem they have had as they told social security office that they are no longer physically stamping but have it electronically stamped.

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!
The 2 security officers at this location are the rudest people I have ever met in my life. Harassing people and elderly with a loud demeaning tone of voice for little to no reason and treating people like a criminal. I get that it’s a federal building but I have been to a much better SS office locations before. Avoid going to this location by all means!

The two security guards, one black and one white, should be ashamed of themselves getting paid harassing everybody including the elderly and women. You get paid from my tax dollar. Karma will get you.

Treat people like cattle! Guard at door must have been trained at main jail intake? Workers at the windows seem to have the attitude that clients should just be happy they are there. These employees rival DMV's finest. Best service I've gotten has been over the phone, if/when I can get through. Second has been using SSI web site, but not all services can be handled on the website. Advice.avoid in person visit if at all possible. Seeing this office gives me grave concern about depending on SSI and Medicare. Not many other choices.they gotcha and the employees seem to know it.) -:

I've been trying to get a ticket to work for months and the SSA agents drop my calls, besides the security guard is very rude.

Security guards were over the top, I understand it's a federal building and you need to be secure but he said I was "heightening security" when I went to open my bag for him to search. Apparently they need to open it, he should have mentioned that before feeling "threatened". They also were threatened when I needed to take my phone out of my pocket to go through the metal detector.

Posted instructions outside would be helpful so the security guard isn't so scared of people.

EDITED TO UPDATE: My appointment was a waste of time. I had to get a name change done and when I recieved the card, the name was wrong AND a completely different number was issued. This resulted in many phone calls trying to resolve, they kept hanging up/disconnecting. They would not make another appointment without asking me irrelevant questions like "what window were you at? " "What was the issue date of the card? " (There is not issue date on the cards). Apparently they could not find the original appointment in the system and couldn't just schedule me another appointment to fix their mistake.

I got it all resolved with much better security guards and customer service at the West Sac office.

Very pathetic service and a total waste of our tax funds. Staff are very rude when one calls them over phone and always in a hurry to hang up. They need to be reminded that they work for us. Customer service training is highly recommended. While hiring staff, the SSA should test the peoples skills. Current lot has no peoples skills.

Security guards are terrible at communicating and behave extremely rudely.
Hiring criteria must elevate
