US Window & Door - Carlsbad

Very passive aggressive and borderline rude. Patty will text you with her passive aggressive comments for sure. Open from 7: 30 to 4: 00, how convenient is that? I want to see what I am going to buy, and Stacy said most people just look online or a pamphlet! LOL, what a joke. I was sent an email and a text that asked what they need to do to earn my business, well, stop being passive aggressive, that's one way! You can see in the return comments on Google as an example. I am sure they will try to cover this up comment as well and make themselves look like the victims. Call and you will find out for yourself. There are other companies out there to choose from. Nobody wants to deal with this type of behavior. Very unprofessional.

Very satisfied with US Window & Door. We had them replace all of our windows and sliding doors. Everything went according to plan, and most importantly, the quality of the product and the service were excellent. Thank you to Martin and his team.

Well, I don’t know what’s happened to the art of professionalism. US Windows needs a brush up. The sales guy was fine, the measuring was fine, communication leading up to setting an install date was good. Then I received a email stating my install had been scheduled. Only problem- I had a Dr’s appt. It would have been a better approach if I would have been called to schedule a time that worked for both parties.

On the install date 2 guys showed up rather than 3 (3rd guy showed up towards the end). It took 9 hours to replace 6 windows! 2 screens had defects and 3 windows were scratched. The lead installer was friendly and seemed capable. He said he would turn in the paperwork and I would get a call within a couple days from Milgard regarding the defects.

The following day I noted that the bottom of one window wasn’t caulked along with several other corner frames. Several plugs were also missing from inside frames (at least 2 were due to window malfunction I later learned), one had been filled with caulk. No one mentioned this to me!

Called/emailed management and installer returned 2 days later to caulk. Lead installer again mentioned that he had turned in my paperwork. I still have not received the plugs. They are promised tomorrow.

Two weeks later, no call regarding defective windows. Called management, turns out although the lead installer had told me that he had turned in the paperwork, he had not. So here I am two weeks after install waiting for a call from Milgard regarding the defective windows. I wonder how long I would have been waiting had I not called.

I have spoken to both Stacy Elliott, Operations Manager and Tim Maldonado, Installation Manager. I have needed to call and email more than a reasonable amount to get resolution. They have been unapologetic and seem bothered by my requests for information/follow-up.

Additionally, the caulking done for several windows look like it was done by a child playing with Play-Doh very sloppy. And one window frame drywall was pretty beat up.

I’m am very disappointed with my experience with this company.

US Window & Door was everything we could hope for, from initial sale to the final inspection. Having the owner personally come on site to check the measurements and do the final inspection was above and beyond customer service. Our 10 Milgard windows and 3 sliding glass doors were installed by careful, experienced, friendly technicians who worked their hearts out in the August heat without slowing down. Soon thereafter, Hurricane Hilary tested the installation and panes with high winds and rain. All passed with flying colors! Not only are we reaping the benefits of energy conservation in our air conditioning bills, but the house looks so dressed-up after wearing old, rickety, single glass pane aluminum windows since 1989. US Window & Door has given our house, and us, a new lease on life as we continue to admire and reap the benefits of their expertise throughout our home.

I concur with the other posted one-star reviews. This company communicates poorly, if at all. The delays can't be explained by "it's just construction. " They make mistakes and their staff can be rude. I paid another company to finish the work. Take your business somewhere else.

I purchased a window from US window and door back in March of 2023 where they promised an install day of late May. I was contacted in late May that the install date would be late June. I was contacted in late June that it would be early July. Then in early July it moved to late July. Now it is late July and they have cancelled again.

I have no idea how this company has such high ratings. If you are looking for honest communication and scheduling I would not recommend using them.

Very pleased with our entire process involving Carlsbad USWD.from our initial contact with sales (Dalton and owner Martin) to product delivery and installation. We don't normally submit reviews on companies doing their job for services mutually agreed to perform; however, once committed, we were extremely pleased with the entire operations team. Included in our home constuction work were 27 new windows and doors and the install team of Elijah, Will, Chris P, Francisco, Simon, Christian, Abie, Eric and Louie were exceptional.very informative and above and beyond what we anticipated.a pleasure to work with. Also want to acknowledge Ops Manager Stacy for organizing his team and communicating with us efficiently regarding timing, next steps, etc. Would stongly recommend USWD for their products and services and pleased to learn there are companies who still "say what they do and do what they say. Working with these guys was great! The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. Installation went smoothly for most of the windows, and as with most construction projects there were some issues here and there, but US Window & Door handled them professionally and courteously, making sure everything was done to our satisfaction in the end, which to me speak loads about their trustworthiness. Love the new windows!

This is the second time around I went with US Window and Door. The first time around the time estimate was only a few weeks late (which I understand being in the construction industry). The installers were timely, clean, respectful, and the quality was very good.

The second time I needed to fully replace all windows for a rental property of mine. I was given an estimation of installation in October that my installation would be late December/January at the latest. I didn't get my installation scheduled until February 27th, which was on a Monday. Since it rained the week before, I was anticipating a call/email that Friday asking to reschedule but I didn't - so I proceeded to continue with the re-homing arrangement I made with my tenant and to clear his unit/take down blinds/etc.the day before. Come installation day (not raining) - I received a text 10 minutes before expected arrival time that it was cancelled. I called immediately to express my frustration and to reschedule.

The scheduling manager (Tim) returned my call and was SHOCKINGLY abrasive, rude, and unprofessional. I am impressed the man has a job, that is no way to speak to a client - especially when USWD was in the wrong. It should have been obvious from a scheduling stand point that the company should've known well before Monday that my appointment was going to be cancelled. My appointment was rescheduled 4 days later. A company with a professional operations team would have let all the clients know ahead of time, not 10 minutes before expecting the installers to arrive.

The installers were nice, they did a fine job, Milgard product is good as well. But that experience ruined USWD for me, I will not be using them again.

US Window & Door is the go-to company for our window replacement needs. The team is very professional and responsive. They always do such a great job from start to end, including project estimate, installation, to post-project inspection. We recently noticed some minor issue with one of the screen doors installed a few years ago and inquired the Operation Manager at US Window & Door. He sent out a technician to get it fixed right away as a courtesy to loyal customer. Really appreciated!
