Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar reviews
19Food is great, but really short on staff and very slow service! Waited almost 2 hours for our entrees
Food was good. Made to order, fresh and hot. The desserts are amazing! Will be back. Thanks!
10 out of 10 would recommend. Delicious food, wonderful ambiance, well run, friendly staff, incredible wine list.
As a walk in customer I didn’t feel welcomed. Also noticed the restaurant is just a tiny hallway. Ended up going to Teleferic.
Absolutely delicious and beautiful atmosphere. Everything we ordered was super good and surprisingly affordable for the quality. $25 for a fillet? Good luck finding that anywhere else! Will definitely be back.
While being quite expensive (the portions are small, which is an advantage though as one can try around), the dishes and service are totally worth it. Most meals are finely composed and delicious.
Every time I come here the staff is incredibly welcoming. They switch up their menus with the seasons and create delicious dishes while their cocktails are to die for. Love coming here and recommend it for anyone
Nice date night spot for glass of wine and small bites. Also a great sit down experience as well. The food is good and the menu rotates, which keeps it fresh if you frequent the area. (-1 for no happy hour)
This place was a solid A in my book!
I took my wife here for her birthday and we loved it. She was very impressed. The vibe was great! Service, food, and drinks were also really good. The price was as I expected, but it could always be better.
Overall, I'd strongly recommend this place and will be back for date nights in the future. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I saw a heat lamp or two, but I don't know if all outdoor seating has a heat lamp so dress warm if you go that route at night.

12/2/2022 - Holiday dinner with friends. This is our regular holiday get together place. Do some shopping and end up here for dinner.
They always have exceptional service. We were there for 3+ hours and did not feel rushed. The ambiance was very festive with the holiday decorations up.
- AXR wine - Chardonnay - first time trying it and it was good.
- Cacio de Pepe biscuit/butter - it is a large biscuit so shareable for 2
- Cheese plate - excellent selection.
- Kung Pao Cauliflower - Spicy/Amazing
- Morrocan meatballs - Will skip next time we visit.
- Cod - Fish was good but the potato cake was kind of bland
- Broccoli/Broccolini - Excellent. Daikon was an unexpected touch.
- Apple crossata- Good but not served piping hot. Ice cream scoop was tiny
Generally had a great time. Will be back!
Probably the crown jewel of Walnut Creek! Their braised short rib is to die for, no matter what I always always get it! The Purple Rain cocktail is a favorite
Cute, romantic place. Good for date nights. Had the red blend wine flight, Rose flight, mushroom risotto, salmon and dessert flight.
Became a fan of apple strudel after trying it here.
The food quality was good.the delivery could've been faster though and the prices were not cheap by any means.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Order one of everything and share with the table. And save room for the apple pie. Burrsta, beet salad, short rib, and risotto were our favs.
Probably the best restaurant I've been to. Their food is amazing, although it does change from time to time. They have great wine selection and their desserts are very good. And all for a very good price
Amazing find in Walnut Creek. Very friendly staff, excellent wine selection, and not a bad dish on the menu. Strongly recommend the beer salad and the cod.
We’ve been coming for years and were incredibly disappointed this week. The quality of the food as drastically decreased as with the value. $22 for 3 scallops on top of smeared labneh cheese, served on an appetizer plate. Sea bass that was too salty to consume. Kind servers that are stretched.
Truly amazing. Just happened to walk in. Beautiful decor and super friendly staff. Felt very welcomed.
Simple and elegant menu.
Food was very fresh. Excellent recommendations from our server. Every dish was perfect. We will definitely be back every time.
To this day, this is still to me the best restaurant in Walnut Creek.
The outdoor setting is amazing with tables in a small alley closed to traffic or tables set under a gigantic tree's shade.
Service has always been great, polite, respectful, fun at times, always helpful.
The plates are not big. To me, that's a plus but understand it might not suit others. This offers us the possibility of sampling many dishes, and those dishes are all extremely well crafted, the presentation, the combination of flavor and textures, the taste, the sauces, everything is on point.
If you're reading this and you've never been, give it a try.
If you work there, thank you!
