Val Surf, Woodland Hills CA

Brilliant shop.went there with a 25 year old skateboard that's been handed down to my 4 year old grandkid form his father. They spruced it up for me, and I ended up buying another pre built board for my grand daughter.
I know nothing about skateboards and this shop was super helpful in explaining everything I should know.
Cannot recommend this place enough

Wonderful local store with lots of selections and personalities. Sheena had worked @ local shop for 16+ years. Excellent place to mentor kids and see local kids grow up and move on to different careers. Come and support local merchants.

Rude old surf hag. Need to get grateful for the customers she has. Or go home and pet your cats. Don’t go here, Find another shop or go to Kennedy’s. They can order the same stuff.

Excellent service. Was given some help and thorough advice in fitting some ski boots that I rented from them

Great selection of clothes and all types of boards! I wish they had a better selection of skimboards but then again, they are a surf shop. There staff is always willing to help and is very nice when helping you out. Overall awesome Store!

I'm a transplant from the westside. I'm happy to see a familiar face in the store. Not a lot of options for surf gear in the valley but Val surf is a staple.

Jimmy was the best vibe of all greeted me when he saw me waiting when. Keep being awesome brother your doing great. Matt and Dan were a great help and very understanding Matt's vibe is a regular chill listening Topanga Vibe I feel keep up the hard work man I see you have potential in life keep it up man. Been shopping at Val Surf since they were on Parthenia St. I’m a grown woman and don’t like being followed around the store like I’m going to steal something. It makes an uncomfortable shopping experience. The female selection of clothing was not great. I’ll stick to the North Hollywood location.

I really enjoyed my visit. I went inside to try on a couple of wetsuits, and Cam recommended i try on the front zip wetsuit, and holy moly! That was such a good idea, I ended up buying one.
I also went ahead to search for a surf board that would best suit me since I am still a novice, and Sean was caring enough to inform me things I didn’t know would be necessary for a board. He can easily tell you guys how to take care of one which is important. He went above and beyond, and helped me install the fins right then & there, rubbed the wax on, and carried it over to my car!
I’d also like to throw a comment at the music that was playing in their shop the entire time I was there: SUPER AWESOME PLAYLIST! Legit started playing all the bands I listened to back in the day.
I had the best experience and am excited to go surfing with my new gear! Thanks a lot guys!

Been in 3 times in as many wks, visiting from N. Y.state.entire staff (with one exception & even she wasn't bad) has been between really friendly and insanely friendly.large selection of t-shirts, jeans, tons of sneakers, general footwear, hats, swimwear.can't comment on hardcore board related stuff as i don't surf.prices seem reasonable.anyhow, overall superb experience everytime and a couple genuinely fantastic employees.love this shop.

Though they don't have much of a selection of surfboards, they have a few good ones, nice shirts, wetsuits, sandals, etc. I have always gotten good service.

I buy a real skateboard at Val surf and Iit break at the same day I buy it the installation of the skate board was unprofessional and they not willing to take responsibility, it's the last time I buy in this place.

This place sucks! The Staff is really unhelpful. The Skateboarding person looked like he was high. Bad Place!
The Prices are Low that's the good thing.
