Vallarta Express Mexican Eatery reviews
12I paid $10 for a Cali burrito here. It was the most disgusting burrito I've ever had. It was cold and filled with a ton of Pico. I couldn't even finish it was so bad.
The Carne asada fries are "FUEGO"! The best in SD. Try the chicken soup and Chirizo Torta. I will try food all over, but honestly this specific Vallarta's has nailed it for Mexican fast food.
Best California burrito I've found and their orange sauce is literally perfect.
Vallarta, if you're reading this, I don't live in San Diego anymore and I need your hot sauce. Please tell me the recipe, I'm gonna not sell it or tell anyone, I'm just going to eat it.
The food was not good. The burrito was mostly guac and sour cream and rice and we ordered steak and shrimp. The steak was chewy. The place was dirty. The cashier wasn't helpful regarding what was on the menu. I will never go back
Worst burrito in PB by a mile. They’ve served it cold the past two times. To the point it seems pre-made… will not return.
Definitely the best late night spot/chain in all of San Diego! The queso burrito is a must try for first timers!
Food here is so good. I got 2 fish tacos and and an adobada taco. The lightly battered fish tasted great and the adobada was perfectly seasoned, marinated and charred. I got three tacos expecting small portions but was full and satisfied after only two. I will be returning to try the rest of the menu.
Their orange sauce is really good and the veggie burrito had bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and more that you almost never find in veggie burritos. I will definitely go back here when I am next in the area
This was only the 2nd California Burrito I’ve had but it was amazing. It’s huge and for a great price. Also great food to DoorDash after a night out as it’s open 24 hours.
I did not dine-in so I cannot give a 5 star rating at this time. Buuut If I was to base my rating off of the meal I chose it would be a completely different story. Service was quick and pleasant. Nice and clean establishment very spacious it's not a secret that I'm cheap. So I would say it was a bit on the pricy side. Yet lightweight undervalued at the same time? I mean. If my 265 lbs Samoan butt couldn't finish an order of Carne asada fries in one sitting. Then you KNOW I got my money's worth for shizzle. They are open 24 hrs and after what I tasted I doubt they have anything on the menu that would disappoint even the pickiest of eaters. Try it, it's good. Promise
82/100: Carne Asada Torta. It is served with fries. The soda is an additional. I told the lady on the drive thru that I was not local (but from Florida), and what she could recommend me from their menu. Her response was: "There is the menu. " Hahahah, thanks I can read. Food was great, the sandwich combination of steak with avocado was a good flavor.
No ingredients listed on menu. Asked for a Surf N’ Turf burrito. Found out they come with sour cream. Asked for burrito without sour cream, but was told it was too late. Nice place I’m sure, but horrible staff for not compromising with a simple request made before the order was called.
