5I called to ask if they would cash paper savings bonds if I opened an account. They said yes and a second customer service rep said I could just bring them in that same week. I went in and was told that they will not cash paper savings bonds unless you have had an account open with them for 3 years. Three. Years. Their policy on this is completely unreasonable. What gives?

They're very friendly, and they've been extra helpful each time I've sat at the desk for different types of banking.
One teller, talking with a friend about health insurance. All other employees (there were 4 i could see) standing around talking or sitting at their desks. There were 2 of us in line for over ten minutes waiting for the teller to finish her insurance conversation UPDATE: A representative contacted me within 2 hours of my review post to apologize for my negative experience. The call was courteous and professional.
