I see a lot of bad reviews here but my experience has been nothing short of incredible. The process of getting services started was a bit rough but that can be with any free services.
Our ABA therapist, Reyna has been incredible. You can see she genuinely loves her job and takes it very serious. She goes out of her way every session to get my son re engaged with her so that he can learn. It is also play based, so she gets quite the workout in going over and beyond to help him, which also helps us. I believe the therapists are outsourced from another company but everyone Id worked with besides our therapist has been awesome as well. (I could be wrong about the outsourced therapist.)

Not sure if all the bad reviews are due to the idiot covid (that was less dangerous than being struck by lightning) times we lived in or maybe having government insurance (medical/medicare) Medicare. They have been very helpful and supportive to my boys.

Services where ok. Due to COVID-19 i understand all virtual, but i never got the assistance to help me with my son's bitting tantrums and hitting, all the learning has been done through me. If you are refered by ur pediatrician to this place honestly don't. I son's pediatrician is in Manteca, my medical is still in Stanislaus County but I had to move to Merced and here at my home is temporarily, I was getting services virtually and that was fine. But all of a sudden they decided to change my coordinator and now my child is not allowed to get services because we do not reside in Stanislaus county and medical insurance is still in Stanislaus county. Please notify you pediatrician to refer you else where or if you are refered by a school or public assistance get other resources! I am very disappointed this review was just right after hanging up the call. The 2 teachers where amazing that's for sure they listen they should be coordinator but again this place just hires people for session.
They want me to transfer to Merced county while merced county said it's up to you they Respected my decision this program is until your child turns 3 my son is 2.5 years old to transfer is a process how long would it take for my case to transfer pick up and start getting services with my son what if in the next 2 months I find a place in Modesto and then again cancel transfer start the process over by then my son already hit age 3. I hope this helps other parents!

Th these people don't mind helping at all the way they look at it is they're trying to help people making the money but they're not answering calls or even helping the people the state needs to take care of that and quit giving money for free like the presidents get

Horrible place for level 2 autism spectrum they keep trying to give me respite services I don't need respite services I need someone to physically help with hygiene. His coordinator hasn't been in the office for months or has even hasn't even called me or talked to me in months about his case these people are living fat in Modesto nice homes while the rest of us are in poverty not wanting to help our children this is ridiculous playing phone tag all the time. Decolonize all of this

My son has autism, the only services that VMRC has offered us is to pay for his medic alert bracelet, and to pay for a few respite hours a week. Oh they may help us with ABA copays if we beg hard enough and jump through enough hoops. This place is a JOKE! We are on our own people!

VMRC sealed my sons fate, if they send you out of the blue to Dr. Dupree for another evaluation please get your own evaluation with some else.she changed her diagnosis of my son.how does someone suddenly became not autistic every other Dr, teacher totally disagrees with her findings! I appealed lost.and no there is nothing for my son who desperately wants help my only way is to pay privately for services that I can’t afford! VMRC picks and chooses who they will help!
