I only go here when I cannot get to Lockeford. The guys always act like they are being inconvenienced. When they are working together, they hardly ever acknowledge you. Then you just get handed a receipt. The lady that works in the office has always been nice though. I only take cans and bottles there. I took in 9 pounds of copper a while back and just over 20 pounds a couple weeks later. I was surprised at how little I got, but figured I was wrong about the price per pound, or something. Didn't look at the receipt until I got home and was astonished. They only gave half of the current price and it showed the weight at just ten pounds! Watch them the whole time and say something if you think something is not right. Check prices before you go and ask them what they are paying.
You have to watch them with what they grade your scrap metal with. We have had several issues with us bringing in #1 steel and they type it up as a lower grade metal! Always look at your receipt!
Went to the Valley Springs Center. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend going there!
