Dr. Vlad is the best. He is very quick to repair any tooth problem or replace only what is necessary. I have spent a few years with many other dentists in my Seventy five years trying to keep what God gave me. I have never had a more caring doctor with such expert craftsmanship. I would highly recommend Dr. Vlad for all of your dental needs including anything from tooth repair or extraction to implants. I have personally had them all and have been supremely satisfied with all of the staff at Van Ness Family Dentistry. You won’t find better care anywhere.

Do not let dentist do a root canal or any work an Endodontist should do. Wrong equipment and poor cementing of post has led to an infection and needing to an extraction.

I’m new to SF and booked a cleaning and exam. We went over the work I needed done and I was told I would receive a treatment plan and pricing within a week. That never happened. Over the last three months I have called at least seven times requesting an update on my treatment options and treatment prices. Finally they suggest I just make an appointment and see what happens. I do that and call to confirm the time of the appointment the week prior and AGAIN ask for treatment plan and pricing. I’m told on the phone what we will be working on and that I’ll receive price via email. I receive the email and it is something different that what we discuss on the phone. An extraction and bone graft to prepare for a future implant…. Without pricing on the implant. I reply with that’s not what we just stated the day before and that I would like to start on what we agreed to. On my way to the appointment I receive a call stating I have to start the treatment this way or the dentist will not see me. So after wasting my annual exam and waiting THREE months I had to cancel without as much as a consult on what my actual options were. Don’t waste your time, exam, or money on this lack luster, unprofessional office.

This dentistry team saved my honeymoon from being ruined by a rogue wisdom tooth! I’m currently visiting from the UK for my honeymoon and have had an awful time with wisdom tooth pain. The team here managed to fit me in with an on the day emergency appointment to have an X-ray and get an understanding as to what was going on. They then prescribed me everything I needed to manage the pain until the end of our trip. Cannot recommend highly enough - the whole team were so friendly and accommodating and helped reduce my anxiety as much as possible by giving clear next steps and being so kind to me throughout. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Thankyou team!

I had an appointment set 6 months ago. I received a text and email reminder and request for confirmation, which I confirmed, a few days prior to the appointment. I show up to the appointment 5 min before, and I see that the door is locked. I call the number and knock on the door repeatedly. I leave a message. No response whatsoever. I wait until past the appointment time. They were an absolutely no show. They should reimburse me for my wasted time! I will be finding a new dentist, that's for sure.

The dentist, while cleaning my teeth, told me exactly what I was missing in my dental routine. He also told me exactly how to fix my dental routine so that it can be perfected. He was very informative and extremely helpful, as well as the front desk person. Not many dentists in the bay area are worth their salt but this place is definitely somewhere that will treat you as if you matter. The dentist’s criticisms were not at all rude, but they were honest and to the point. This clinic is definitely trustworthy and thorough.
